Meghan Chase is finally getting used to being the Iron Queen, ruler of the Iron Fey. Her life may be strange, but with former Winter prince Ash by her side at last, she wouldn't have it any other way.
But when they travel to the Summer and Winter courts' gathering for Elysium, the oracle from Meghan's past returns with a dire prophecy: "What you carry will either unite the courts, or it will destroy them."
Now Meghan faces a devastating choice that may determine the future of all fey - and her and Ash's unborn child....

I loved it and am looking forward to the next book. She brought back Puk and Ash.
Razer, a small gremlin who is a pet of of the prince. He is a bundle of fun and loves sheep. I love it when he says "Bad Kitty!"
The way he does the voices. And Razer "Bad kitty!" again loved it.
I didn't read the book before this one so I had no idea that that the lead charters were related. It made the story more interesting as I tried to figure out who Kerin was..
Enjoyable tale between tales. Most memorable moments are of the iron queen's shows of strength in the wishing tree and dreaming pool sequences.
I am not a reader, but I love listening. The series has been wonderful and I've enjoyed the way each book further deepens our understanding of each of the characters. With the completion of each book, I am ready to hear more. Personally, I don't feel that the audio versions come fast enough.....
"My test of a good book is dreading to begin the last chapter." - Thomas Helm
In a different review I stated you didn't need these .5 Books. As in Book 1 then Book 1.5, etc. In the case of this book, it's a good idea to read it. It prepares you for The Lost Prince. This book, Iron's Prophecy, is a prelude to The Lost Pince. If you don't read this book then you will be left to question what the big deal was, that no one stated, for why Eithen & Kerean shouldn't meet. I hope Julie Kagawa write another book to follow The Lost Prince. It was left open, so I'm hoping.
It's a wrap.
I realize that technically I used four words, but, my review, my prerogative. A short novella to tie-up several loose ends. I don't want to give anything away, so I'll stop here.
Loved the entire series. I'll now move on to Kagawa's companion series, Iron Fey: Call of the Forgotten.
I would definitely say this was worth the time spent listening to it. It's a short book and it has 2 fight scenes in it that are very gratifying.
It has absolutely not turned me off of this genre.
Grimalkin is still, and will always be, the best voice that Khristine Hvam voiced in this whole series. His voice added to his character and made him the most entertaining part of the series.
See question 1, Audible. :\
This is a novella that links the end of Meghan Chase's story arc in The Iron Fey Series to the beginning of Ethan Chase's story arc in The Iron Fey Series that begins concretely in The Lost Prince.
