The race to the Still Blue has reached a stalemate. Aria and Perry are determined to find this last safe haven from the Aether storms before Sable and Hess do - and they are just as determined to stay together. Within the confines of a cave they're using as a makeshift refuge, they struggle to reconcile their people, Dwellers and Outsiders, who are united only in their hatred of their desperate situation. Meanwhile, time is running out to rescue Cinder, who was abducted by Hess and Sable for his unique abilities. Then Roar arrives in a grief-stricken fury, endangering all with his need for revenge.
Out of options, Perry and Aria assemble an unlikely team for an impossible rescue mission. Cinder isn't just the key to unlocking the Still Blue and their only hope for survival - he's also their friend. And in a dying world, the bonds between people are what matter most.

Busy mom who loves to read but doesn't always have the time. I enjoy YA, Romance and the occasional Best Seller.
This was a perfect and oh so satisfying ending to a great trilogy. Lately I’ve been a little upset with the way most trilogies have been ending (or not ending) but this one was just simply perfect. It was fast paced, emotional and tied up loose ends. As a reader/listener you are not left with unanswered questions or having to “figure out” the ending for yourself. This was perfectly wrapped up with a beautiful bow on top.
I am sad that this series is over but I am happy that it reached a satisfying conclusion.
Loving books :) Quick and honest reviews.
Actually yes, I never listen to books twice!
Its similar to hunger games, divergent, and maze runner. However, its completely different. Same genre but on a different playing field.
Way to many to limit them to a favorite. I loved the ending. Some times trilogy leave open endings but this one loops you full circle.
the last few hours, I was tempted to get some cliff notes on it because I couldn't wait for the end. However, I remained patient and it was worth every second of the wait.
Great read! Highly recommend!
While it was very predictable and went exactly where you expected it to, there were still plenty of twists and fun adventure along the way. An enjoyable final book to the series. My only wish was that it would have given less detail on getting to the still blue, and more detail about what it was like living there.
The author got you to really like the characters in the story. I enjoyed the metamorphosis of the main characters throughout the three books.
The story/plot was really good. I couldn't wait to find out what was going to happen next.
I love the story, but the voice did not match the characters. Her voice sounded too old for young adult characters and it sounded like she was trying too hard.
I would, and have several times already. Why don't more people know about these books?
Hmmm....not sure I can think of one. I liked this series more than most of the dystopian series I have read over the last few years--and I have read many. And finally! A series finale that does not end badly! Thank you Veronica:)
I loved any scene where Perry and Aria were together. There relationship is more real and sweet than is often found in YA lit. And no love triangle!
No, but I have never done that with any book. Who has time for that? :)
Just a book fool.
I really like these books but I don't love them does that make sense?
I can't pinpoint exactly why they just miss the love mark but they do. I really like these books because they are full of adventure, fear, excitement, love, and a seriously unique dystopian world. The end is great, and the writing is good.
If you like YA adventure // dystopians then definitely give this series a shot! If you have already read the pervious two then I think you will be happy with the conclusion.
