Publisher's summary

The Adderhead - his immortality bound in a book by Meggie's father, Mo - has ordered his henchmen to plunder the villages. The peasants' only defense is a band of outlaws led by the Bluejay - Mo's fictitious double, whose identity he has reluctantly adopted. But the Book of Immortality is unraveling, and the Adderhead again fears the White Women of Death. To bring the renegade Bluejay back to repair the book, the Adderhead kidnaps all the children in the kingdom, dooming them to slavery in his silver mines unless Mo surrenders. First Dustfinger, now Mo: Can anyone save this cursed story?

There is magic in words.

Very satisfying. Take the trip to a world where written words do battle with fate.

Performance was exceptional!

I fell in love with InkHeart and nearly could not get in to InkSpell due to the change of narrator, but then I finally listened to InkDeath. I think the change of narrator from book 1 to book 2 was a publishing mistake but that change lead to acceptance of this change. 3 books, 3 narrators. Each narrator had exceptional skill and really brought their best to each book. This book wraps up the series beautifully. Each book stands well on its own and any new reader should accept the narrator change mush like the seasons- each having something beautiful.

I have come to love the characters more deeply and enjoyed their thoughts and reactions to their experiences.

Not necessarily a book for children but more a book about children and how much books create their imaginary lives.

The triology was perfect.

You will want to jump in and swim in the adventure, and wish for gills once your there, or the like, so that you will never have to surface again. Few now days are able to weave words in the same manner that this woman has achieved.

Sad performance ending to the series

Would you listen to Inkdeath again? Why?

Yes, it was a good story.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Maggie was my favorite character in the story.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It had a very good ending for such a great story.

Any additional comments?

I was very disappointed with the fact that Brendan Fraser did not finish the series out himself. After listening to him read the first two books it was hard to get into the third book with a new narrator. The story had a great ending, but it took a long time to get to the meat of the story

Death by Ink

Knitting while listening to a story that is woven like an intricate tapestry is the best combination of all worlds.
