Audie Award Finalist, Paranormal, 2014

The heat is on, and a new threat to humanity has risen....

Nick has his driver's license and he's not afraid to use it. But turning 16 isn't what he thought it would be. While other boys his age are worried about prom dates and applying for college, Nick is neck deep in enemies out to stop him from living another day. No longer sure if he can trust anyone, his only ally seems to be the one person he's been told will ultimately kill him. But life spent serving the undead is anything except ordinary. And those out to get him have summoned an ancient force so powerful even the gods fear it.

As Nick learns to command and control the elements, the one he must master in order to combat his latest foe is the one most likely to destroy him. As the old proverb goes, fire knows nothing of mercy, and if Nick is to survive this latest round, he will have to sacrifice a part of himself. However, the best sacrifice is seldom the sanest move. Sometimes it's the one that leaves your enemies confused.

And sometimes, you have to trust your enemy to save your friends. But what do you do when that enemy is you?

Really Good!! And Shocking Ending!!

Thankfully I red this book before the fifth one coming out by a day, because its ending was one of the most "OOOOHHHHHHH WHAT!!!!!!!" moments... thankfully i'm going to read the next book soon to know whats going to happen to Nick and the others.... Inferno was good all the way through, character development done well and twists all the way through... Did I talk already about its ending??? its awesome!!!!! Kept on thinking why book 5 is going to be long, and now i know why...

Narration is good as always!

This series is getting better and better with every addition to it. Wish to know how all will end with it.

Nick Gautier is an creature

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

yes I would suggest this book to a friend, mainly because my friends have the same crazy tastes that I do. maybe not as crazy but crazy none the less.

Who was your favorite character and why?

I have a soft spot for Nick Gautier's character mainly because he's personality in this series so different from what it is currently in the Dark-hunter series which is meant to coincide in many ways with the chronicles of nick one, which just goes to show how multifaceted he is, not to mention that he is bound to progress even further for better and or worse throughout the series it will be interesting in the end to see where the author takes their stories with him and which side of the street he will end up on when everything comes together in the end.

Which scene was your favorite?

Without spoiling too much the scene I found myself rivited by the most was a scene near the end of the book that included Nick and Adarian both sworn enemies agreeing to join forces together temporarily to go up against a common enemy to protect someone or something whom means more to them then their mutual hatred of each other and how that scene ends up playing out in the end.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?

the man who tries the hardest to save the world is the one destined to destroy it.

Inferno: A Chronicles of Nick book .

This was another great Audible book I have too say that we the listener's found out a great deal about some of the major characters in this series. What their lives were like when they where young and also major event's in their lives that shaped what they where to become in their future . And than there was a lot of deep thought and quotes in this book that some might not appreciate such things and of course we have the repetitive angst and self doubt and self loathing that's really starting to rankle just a bit . We get that Nick has a lot of issues about his self worth but I would like to think that at this point Nick would have more self confidence by know .

Inferno is ablaze.

This is another hit although the last 5 minutes at the ending was weird and I didn't like it. I love Sherrilyn Kenyon's stuff and Holter Graham is awesome. Sherrilyn truly has a way of writing that makes you want to be a better person. Nick is such a wonderful character, all of her characters are. Recommended to read in order after the Dark/Dream Hunter books which I love. The world Sherrilyn creates is so vivid and exciting, the stories pull me right in. There was some conflicting back stories from this book and the rest of her stories, but that does not deter from the enjoyment it gives. There were a couple of recording/editing issues with the sentence being cut off and repeat of some phrases although it wasn't bad.

COULD NOT WAIT TO READ

I love the Chronicles of Nick series, Sherrilyn Kenyon continues to intrigue me with Nick. This book left me wanting more. Can’t wait for the next book. I love how this adds to the Dark-Hunter series and gives you more of the back stories to some of the caricatures in the Dark-Hunter series.

best book so far

the twists and turns in this book are fast and blindsiding the things Nick has to overcome in this section are incredible. Great advice in some parts and just an all around amazing story. the way it's written and told will keep you wanting to listen to it over and over.
