Fun and Cozy Story I Never Knew Was a Book!
Many years ago I saw the movie based off this book, but not until recently did I realize it was a book! The story is fun and light and whimsical, full of love and discovery of self and others. It is a cozy story, but not without stakes. Definitely check it out!

Definitely different than the film.
I love studio Ghibli films, so that's what brought me here. I enjoyed getting more of the backstory of Sofie and explanations of things that left me wondering after I watched the film. The narration is wonderful and I look forward to the next book in the series.

Love this story!
This is one of my very favorites and I listen to it often. I do sometimes wish the narration was a bit different/better? But honestly I think maybe it’s only because I’ve watched the movie so many times and this narrator just obviously doesn’t sound aaaanything like Christian Bale’s Howl that I’m used to hearing 😂

Wonderful story
This story makes me happy . It’s a made up story that keeps my interest like a Hans Christian Anderson fairy story . Small cast of characters , easy to follow . They grow and develop , with flaws as the story develops .
