Joe Odin is the world's greatest guesser, a carnival legend who can tell you your weight, your profession, or your favorite brand of whiskey with nothing but a glance and a grubby dollar. He uses his flamboyant style of deduction to peer into small-town secrets and unravel his favorite puzzles of all - murders.
Primrose Whistler is just 17 years old, a trailer-park firecracker with green hair and a talent for trouble. After she witnesses a brutal attack and is almost killed at the county fair, she and Odin forge an unlikely partnership of razor-sharp wits and masterful deduction to stop a killer before he silences Prim for good.

I love books...I love storytelling. Audiobooks allow me to enjoy a great story while still being able to do my daily routine. Thanks Audible
Absolutely, great storytelling in combination with excellent narration. A fabulous listening experience. I look forward to more Prim and Odin adventures. I'm hoping Mr. Lininger keeps Mr. Elliott as the narrator or I'll probably have an extreme ugly reaction.
The cast of characters are rich. Mr. Elliott's narration brings them to life. This is not your run of the mill mystery. A wonderful surprise as we run alongside Miss Primrose Whistler and her friends, relatives and new community.
No. This is my first experience with Mr. Elliott's talent. He is definitely on my favs list.
Plenty of snickering, plenty of heart racing moments as well. Bravo

I am addicted to books. Nothing makes me happier than crawling inside a good book.
I had to focus on not tuning out the story. The story was ok just kinda slow paced.

This was a very good book. I enjoyed getting to know Prim and her aunt Vern. I would have liked this book to be longer, but the end left everything open enough for a sequel. I loved how the author kept me guessing. I definitely hope there will be more adventures for Prim in the future.
The narrator was excellent. My only minor complaint was the way he said "ugg" I am not sure if the author wrote it that way, or if he wrote "ugh" and the narrator said it wrong. But really I cannot complain too much. He still did an excellent job with the voices, even though Prim is clearly a young woman.

Prim comes to Hygiene Colorado to visit her Aunt Vern,. So begins mystery and murder for her and the worlds best guesser, Odin to solve. There are enough twists and turns to keep the listener guessing. I hope there will be more Prim and Odin adventures in the future.
The narration was well done. The characters were excellently portrayed.
Thank God for books of all kinds and ears to hear
The narrator was great. The only thing I didn't really like was the lack of a female narrator. I know 2 are more expensive than one, but if I had to choose I think it would be a good female voice that can do men's voice's well.
I liked the relationship between Prim and Emma. When they had scenes together I was very focused.
When Prim figures out the real murderer.
No. It was good but not THAT good. I enjoyed listening to it and would probably listen to a second in series. Good concept for a series.

Not my usual genre, but it was well done. Interesting and not the usual characters. This is a teen young adult book read by Colby Elliott. As such, don't expect Jack Reacher. Still fast moving plot kept my interest and I listened straight through. The characters are developed well, with feasible background.
Joe Odin, the Carney guesser. He was the perfect agent to Prim.
I haven't listen to this narrator / actor before. But, I'll look for him. He does a good job.
I actually did listen in one go.
