Publisher's summary

Morganville, Texas, is a small college town filled with quirky characters. But when the sun goes down, the bad come out. Because in Morganville, there is an evil that lurks in the darkest shadows---one that will spill out into the bright light of day.

Claire Danvers has had enough of her nightmarish dorm situation. The popular girls never let her forget just where she ranks on the school's social scene: somewhere less than zero. And Claire really doesn't have the right connections---to the undead who run the town. When Claire heads off campus, the imposing old house where she finds a room may not be much better. Her new roommates don't show many signs of life. But they'll have Claire's back when the town's deepest secrets come crawling out, hungry for fresh blood.

Absolutely AWESOME!!!

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I would definitely recommend this to friends... It's so entertaining!

Who was your favorite character and why?

I love the main character, we can all relate to Claire right?

What about Cynthia Holloway’s performance did you like?

Ms. Holloway's tone and attitude matched the story PERFECTLY. Any other story, maybe not.

LoveLoveLove!

These books are the absolute amazing! They could've done a better job at picking a narrator though.

Would you consider the audio edition of Glass Houses to be better than the print version?

Love this book! and love the audio edition.

What other book might you compare Glass Houses to and why?

it is similar to blue bloods but better, i feel you get to know the characters better in the morganville vampires.

Made me feel old

What did you like best about Glass Houses? What did you like least?

I like the overall idea of the book, but I felt a little too old to relate to the problems the characters are going through.

What could Rachel Caine have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I'm not sure. I think this is better geared toward traditional YA readers, i.e. under 22.

Did Cynthia Holloway do a good job differentiating all the characters? How?

Yeah, I think she did the best she could, with what she had to work with.

Was Glass Houses worth the listening time?

Honestly, I gave up about half way through. I simply had a hard time getting into the story with the characters all being between 16-18 years old.

Any additional comments?

I thought this might be more like Hunger Games, where you are able to fall into the story and forget the main character is 16. However, that was not the case with this one.

Good Book - Horrible Narrator

Is there anything you would change about this book?

The narrator's voice was trying. I decided to buy the paperback and read this one to avoid the annoyance of the narrator's voice.

If you’ve listened to books by Rachel Caine before, how does this one compare?

This was my first one.

How could the performance have been better?

Get a narrator that has less of a valley girl sound to it. Claire Danvers is not a valley girl so why would the voice of the book sound that way. Horrible match.

Could you see Glass Houses being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

Yes
