Publisher's summary

'I have this dream that, secretly, all teenage girls feel exactly like me. And maybe one day, when we realize that we all feel the same, we can all stop pretending we're something we're not... But until that day, I'm going to keep it real on this blog and keep it unreal in real life.'

Penny has a secret. Under the alias Girl Online, Penny blogs her hidden feelings about friendship, boys, high school drama, her crazy family, and the panic attacks that have begun to take over her life.

When things go from bad to worse, her family whisks her away to New York, where she meets Noah, a gorgeous, guitar-strumming American. Suddenly Penny is falling in love - and capturing every moment of it on her blog.

But Noah has a secret, too, one that threatens to ruin Penny's cover - and her closest friendship - forever.

surprisingly good!

As i am 20 i probably should be "a little too old" for this kind of story but i really enjoyed it. The story is intriguing and the performence or voice was very good! I might have finished it in only 2 days... Oops.

Wow

First I thought it was just like any other fanfictions and teen romances I've read in Wattpad but then the twist came and I did not expect it at all.

Breath of Fresh air

If you could sum up Girl Online in three words, what would they be?

Simple, Fun, relaxing

What does Hannah Tointon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Her accent helps the reader see Pennie

Any additional comments?

The story line was very simple but it was a nice change from the "end of the world" genres recently taking over the book world.

Thumbs Up For Zoe

What made the experience of listening to Girl Online the most enjoyable?

I was already a follower of Zoe Sugg, so I was approaching this book with a fan's perspective. But, as a bookworm since childhood, this was honestly a good book. There were times that I felt like, "okay, that's not very realistic", but isn't that the point to reading--to be swept away into a world that isn't realistic? I think any teen girl (particularly) could enjoy this book, but as a girl in her 20's, this book reminded me of all of those ooey-gooey first love feelings. Very nostalgic, funny, and adorable.

Who was your favorite character and why?

All the characters were pretty good, but I really appreciated Penny and the fact that she was a girl just like everyone else. She got embarrassed and experienced that strange in-between feelings we all get in high school.

What does Hannah Tointon bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The English accent. It really helped put in perspective that Penny wasn't just an every day girl, but to keep in mind that she was a Brighton girl in New York.

Any additional comments?

This was my free audiobook with the initial 30-day trial, and I was so impressed by the whole feeling of it all that I signed up for a longtime subscription. If you're looking for an easy, sweet, fun story, this one is it. Good for pretty much all ages: hardly any cursing (maybe one or two uses of damn and/or hell) and nothing more sexual than a kiss.

Happiness

I absolutely adored this book! I've listened to it three times already, and just can't get enough. For someone that struggles with anxiety this book, well I can't even explain it. I loved how the characters develop, and I found myself listening to it in one sitting the first time. Zoe, thank you for this book. Thank you.
