Fans of the Divergent series by number-one New York Times best-selling author Veronica Roth will be thrilled by Four: A Divergent Collection, a companion volume that includes four pre-Divergent stories told from Tobias Eaton's point of view. Divergent - a major motion picture in 2014.
Listeners first encountered Tobias Eaton as "Four" in Divergent. His voice is an integral part of Allegiant. Listeners will find more of this charismatic character's backstory told from his own perspective in Four: A Divergent Collection. When heard together, these long narrative pieces illuminate the defining moments in Tobias Eaton's life.
The first three pieces in this volume - "The Transfer", "The Initiate", and "The Son" - follow Tobias' transfer from Abnegation to Dauntless, his Dauntless initiation, and the first clues that a foul plan is brewing in the leadership of two factions. The fourth story, "The Traitor", runs parallel with the events of Divergent, giving listeners a glimpse into the decisions of loyalty - and love - that Tobias makes in the weeks after he meets Tris Prior. Exclusive scenes included!

Praise for Divergent:
"The next big thing." (Rolling Stone)
"If you like Hunger Games & Twilight, then get stoked for Divergent! Trust us on this - this baby is going to blow up BIG! And if you chose to remain factionless, then you're gonna be one lonely soul." (PerezHilton.com)
"A memorable, unpredictable journey from which it is nearly impossible to turn away" (Publishers Weekly)
"A taut and shiveringly exciting read! Tris is exactly the sort of unflinching and fierce heroine I love. I couldn't turn the pages fast enough." (Melissa Marr, bestselling author of Wicked Lovely)
"Divergent is a captivating, fascinating book that kept me in constant suspense and was never short on surprises. It will be a long time before I quit thinking about this haunting vision of the future." (James Dashner, author of The Maze Runner)

"Fantastic! addition to the series"
This audio version of four is brilliant, it takes a little getting used to hearing the full book from fours perspective but would definitely recommend it. If you loved the Divergent collection and was sad when it ended this extra edition just gives you that little bit more.
"The story was wrong"
Overall the story was amazing but the audio seemed to be in the wrong parts. For example tris entered dauntless at the end of the story but is mentioned through out the rest of the story.
"A different point of view"
Insightful, but when running it straight after Divergent as I did the similarities can at first feel like an error in writing, like the author can only describe the same things we encounter with both characters one way, even though it's through the eyes of Tobias instead of Tris.
It's only when you press further in and the story being told opens up do you feel you are getting a fuller picture of the events of the first book, and prior to it.
Excellent voice performance, and the way he relates his life with his abusive father. You can feel the conflict within him and how it has affected his trust issues.
All in all an excellent addition to the audible library.
"What I expected"
I loved the divergent series so naturally, I was excited to see this had been released and I was dissapointed.
"Was hoping for more"
It said a insite to four but it just didn't tells us any more then we know, was hoping for a more on him then jumping around
"Top class Audio book. "
Brilliant Audio book. Really well proformed. Reccomend you read or listen to the other divergent books first!
What a brilliant book. With complex plots and subplots, the characters! I really enjoyed this book. Listening to Aaron telling the tale added more life to this book. Not that it needed it. Read it, enjoy!
It was very good however there was some things missing that turned up at the end but apart from that it was great and I would advise this book and all the divergent books
"Great but the end is very disjointed..."
Loved this audiobook. It adds a great dynamic to the one sided first book. It's really interesting to hear Tobias' thoughts. Just a shame it stops and starts at the end...
