Publisher's summary

"The war that happened three years ago was not one that was won, but one that had just begun."

Comrade, the guardian, was lost that day. When he ran into the forest, no one from his pack ever saw him again. Now, disillusioned and void of any hope, Comrade is just a shadow of what he used to be. Three years of torture and solitude made him doubt everything and everyone he believed in, even the ones he loved the most.

Alex, a young werewolf, was a survivor of that day. Much like Comrade, she knows the horrors of the war all too well. It tore her family to shreds, but it did little to dull her brave soul. Craving for a chance to avenge her parents, she volunteers to help rescue a man she has never met.

Just when Comrade thought no one's coming for him, she does. Unbeknownst to him, help is coming.

Comrade was forgotten, or so he thought. Will Alex and the pack finally find him? Can he still be saved? What will heal his deep-seated scars? Better yet, what will happen when the two kindred souls meet?

story line could of been way better. also at one point the male narrator started calling axle, Alex. don't know why that wasn't caught.

Disappointed! The first book was a lot better!

The whole book didn’t do it for me. I had to speed it up to 2x to just get through the book. Plus, the ending was the worst!

Insipid and juvenile

I have 45 mins left and just can’t do it. The characters are wholly underdeveloped. There is no reasonable progression of maturity or critical thinking. There are extraneous sub plots with no bearing on the main plot. It’s like this started life as a pay per chapter so things are as protracted as possible.
Don’t waste your credit.

Improvement

there was far less toxic behavior in this story than the first in the series however there was still an overwhelming presence of possessiveness controlling and manipulative Behavior. Makes me sad that we can't just show healthy relationships through stories with fantasy in them. Even though it was a far cry better than the first I am still going to hang on and listen to the third and final installment and see what happens in that story.

disappointing ending

The first book was better - this book really lacked character development. The story had so much potential but she seemed to skim over some important character growth moments and spent to much time on silly things.

Sad but happy story.

I received this lovely trilogy as wonderful gift. They characters are wonderful. The story line is great. The author makes me sad at times. The world is not nice to Conrad and Alex. They are wonderful people I wish they could have a little more happiness in their lives. My wish is for them is to have something really special happen for them.

I didn't like this book

This book had the worst ending. I know that in real life people lose babies and can't have anymore, but this is fantasy so the hero and heroin should live happily ever after. That means not having those problems. I was very disappointed in this story.
