Publisher's summary

In Maggie Stiefvater's Shiver, Grace and Sam found each other. In Linger, they fought to be together. Now, in Forever, the stakes are even higher than before. Wolves are being hunted. Lives are being threatened. And love is harder and harder to hold on to as death comes closing in.

Tired of listening to stories about humans? Consider the werewolf! Taking various forms over the course of centuries and mythologies, often as flesh-devourers, werewolves now commonly appear in fantasy and romance novels as shape-shifters. The shape-shifting element in werewolves' stories has almost humanized them, depicting the internal struggles we all face within ourselves, on some level or another.

Maggie Stiefvater and amazng writter

Maggie Stiefvater has a wonderful imagination, the research she did while writing these books is evident. I fell in love with these characters

Different but Good

The one different thing about her books is that each character has a different voice. (different narrator) At first this was odd, but it really works well for the story. I thought the end was a bit open ended, but I'd heartily recommend it to anyone along with the other books in the series.
I read that someone thought Sam was a bit Emo but I didn't get that feeling at all. I thought he was sweet, but not soft, if that explains it correctly.

ugh!

Well. I have to say THE reason I am giving this book only 3 stars is because of the ending. If this were not the conclusion in this series, I would easily give it a 5. I cannot BELIEVE this series has ended with so much unfinished business. Really, Maggie? A 4th book could easily be conjured up with as many questions as I still have about this story. To be fair, the book is great, but the ending just leaves me hollow and desperate to know more about ALL of the characters and their relationships. I hesitate to say more about what is left unsettled, fearing I may ruin the read for fans of this series. Maybe Maggie Stiefvater will read this review and have mercy on us, and create book #4.

Finishing this series is so Complex.

if you've made it to Forever, you are already emotionally invested in Sam and Grace.

Forever will make you emotinally invested in Isabelle, and, even if it's unwilling, into Cole.

You will smile with Rachel You will be complicated with Grace. You will be furious with Cole. You will, without a doubt, feel every. Single. One. Of Sam's emotions.

Finishing this series made me want to cry. Not in a way you would imagine. But because the end of hearing Sam and Grace's written story is painful. Hearing it, I believe, is the painful part. The narrators of this story make them so real it can't be any other way.

It's amazing. And it's going to hurt. And I'm going to listen to this series again and again and I will never lose the fascination.

An Excellent Climax .... Perfectly Narrated

Please read AND listen to this entire series. It is so well written and the narration is right up there with "Water for Elephants". The themes - love, death, lies, family, depression, jealousy and coming of age are timeless. This story is not just for kids.

And the writing ... oh, the writing! You will literally feel like you're in the room, or in the woods, or inside the character's head all the time. You will feel the cold, the biting wind and smell the almond, autumn scent of wolf.

Please join me in pleading with Maggie Stiefvater to write one more in the series ... I'm not ready to say 'Goodbye' to Sam, Grace, Isabel and Cole just yet. THIS IS MUST LISTEN!

Love it! Just as good as the first two!

I love these books! It’s hard to tell which one is my favorite though! Definitely love that we got more of Cole and Isabel’s POV. I know these books started off with Grace and Sam but I fell in love with Cole and Isabel, and even though I didn’t know how to feel about Cole’s character at first, he has become my favorite! I love the voices for them. And the storyline was just as good as the other books. Again, with this book as well, I had to force myself to stop listening for a while so I wouldn’t finish it in a day! Great writing.

Ending to the trilogy

I haven’t read this book in so long, but rereading it made me love it all over again. Such a wonderful series.
