Publisher's summary

Flutter - the third book in the My Blood Approves series....

Being undead doesn't make life any easier for Alice Bonham. Her younger brother's love life is heating up, while hers is.... more complicated. Mae is falling apart, her best friend, Jane, is addicted to vampire bites, and if Alice doesn't get her bloodlust under control, someone will end up dead.

Alice volunteers for a rescue mission with Ezra. But going up against a pack of rabid vampires might be too much, even for him.

On to the Fourth ... (Spoilers)

Would you try another book from Amanda Hocking and/or Hannah Friedman?

I'll definitely read all the books in this series, though I found this one (with the exception of the lichen-vampire battle at the climax) to be too similar to Fate, the second book in the series. This said, the lovesick vampire, Peter remains bewitching and fascinating and Bobby, the new love interest of Milo, Alice's gay brother turned vamp, breathes fresh air into a somewhat slow plot.

How would you have changed the story to make it more enjoyable?

Given the uproar 'outside the door' at the end of

Which scene was your favorite?

Again, the Peter-Alice exchanges are always intriguing. I can feel the anxt and pain of Pater and the temptation besieging Alice and I cannot anticipate what will happen next.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

No ... I think I would pass on Part 3, as it moves a bit too slowly for me - not enough changes in the story to justify sitting through a 90 minute screen adaptation. It should just be rolled in with the second novel ....

THIS BOOK IS MUCH BETTER

This is the book in the series that starts to change. The first two book kind of have a strong twilight influence thing going on that i personally didnt care for but worked in its own way. When i got to this book i really didnt want to sit it down. great relationships between the characters and the narrator is pretty good too.

My Blood Approves Review as a whole

I learned very quickly that Amanda Hocking's books are never quite right for me. The story is always captivating in the beginning, giving you hope of a heartbreakingly beautiful love that must find its way to work out but it always ends up with the ones you are rooting for never finding love with each other which makes for a very disappointing end.

From "My Blood Approves" to "Swear" the story is constantly giving you the hope that one day Peter and Alice will find their way to each other in the end, yet the story ended so terribly upsetting I was actually pissed I wasted my time and money reading the series.

I gave it 3* only because there were so many points in the series where I was so captivated by Peter and Alice's impossible love that I couldn't give up on it and read and read for hours on end.

Really liked the story and this series

This story is so similar to twilight but it has i t's own spin on it as you listen to it. I have very much enjoyed listening to each title in this series. The narrator also did a great job:)

VERY UPSET

What made the experience of listening to Flutter the most enjoyable?

It was a good series that I enjoyed. I have over 1400 Audible books and this one series has sadden me. Alice should be with Peter. Although Jack is a good person, He has stolen what was his brothers. Jack has an internal problem because he has been dead then brought back. Jack knew in given his blood to her would be a betrayel of his brother and the hate towards his brother is based on his own guilt. Alice should be told that he knew in given her his blood that it would break the bond between her and Peter. To me and most people I talk to about this series, that it is a series breach to your audience. I still Love the story but to hurt Peter further is cruel. And Jack is a coward to the first degree.
J. O.

What was the most interesting aspect of this story? The least interesting?

The characters...

Which scene was your favorite?

when she killed Her best friends killer

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Jack's betrayel and Alice's ignorance towards the whole thing.

Any additional comments?

Dead End

Author rule #1: do not change your characters mid story. Stoic people became whiney, reasonable people became thoughtless and petty, and boring people became... okay that one stayed the same. Still horribly written, still generic, Flutter is the same as its first two books except now Alice is a vampire.

How does one make a vampire boring? Feel free to read this series to find out. I feel like I should write more to make this a helpful review but that is pretty much all i need to say. Also, I feel I have already wasted enough time on this series. If you want a better vampire novel, read Twillight (that's saying something).
