story was ok. not great. wasted a lot of time rehashing the first book. I expected more emphasis to be placed on overcoming the Grim Faerie Tales but was wasted on dragging out relationship drama.
I don't understand why the author felt the need to constantly remind us of what happened in the first book. We know, we read it. Those moments are unbearable and long.
This book was another piece of great work by Chanda Hahn. Her ability to take the fairy tales we all know and love and transform them into a story that we almost fear is the reason I love these books. This book had several unexpected twists that kept me on my toes while trying to figure out what was going to happen next. I can't wait to find out which fairy tale will be unfortunate next!
Khristine Hyam did a superb job on this book. Her character voices and true to life laughs during the story had me enjoying every minute. She is definitely one of the best female narrators I've heard.
