Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her... beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing... it's taken away. All of it.
The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation.
Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest.
But there is a cost.
The Keeper likes to keep things.
Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

this book is just so amazing! Heather Dixon has just the most fabulous way of writing, and the Narrator does such a splendid job. I would recommend this book to everyone!
I like to read VERY much .. I'm obsessed with reading I don't have time to actually read a book so I've been a listener for three years now
I always liked fairy tales re-telling , and this was very enjoyable book , the narrator is excellent and the sound quality is good
She has a tendency to pause after every sentence. She's good at giving the main character voice inflection but not others. I will not listen to another book that she narrates
A charming fairy tale retelling that will appeal best to young teen readers. Has some really eloquent moments dealing with losing a loved one and grieving as a family. Mandy Williams' narration is superb!
A very slow start and doesn't start to pick up until at least 1/3 of the way through. It was a little too Disney for me but would do better for a younger audience. This is an adaptation of the Twelve Dancing Princesses Fairytale. The relationship between the sisters and their strong bond was nice.It probably isn’t something I’ll ever reread, but I don’t feel like I wasted my time reading.
I didn't realize this was more of a kids book - I would think for a girl in middle school...
Unfortunately this was a cutsey story that I just couldn't finish. It was so obvious that the story was being fleshed out, added ponderously to and the writing seemed trite and way over done. Sometimes it would almost drawn me in but then it lose me. I love the narrator, but she couldn't save the story.
I heard so much lovely things about this book. Specially audibook aswell..
And I could not wait to hear it..
Unfortunatly it didn`t fit me.. There were just to many characters, with weird names.. I liked they had special names.. But to be able to keep up. I think I might have needed a notepad next to me..
Coz I still am not sure what happened to which sister etc..
So for me it just got confusing.. and I couldn`t keep up..
While this book is for YA, I feel that it would be best for the younger end of that category. I found it fairly boring and really only became somewhat invested in it towards the end of the book. I also had a hard time with the narration- I definitely think it detracted from the story. Would not recommend it to anyone over the age of 14-15.
