Publisher's Summary

Azalea is trapped. Just when she should feel that everything is before her... beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing... it's taken away. All of it.

The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. And so he extends an invitation.

Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest.

But there is a cost.

The Keeper likes to keep things.

Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.

I would not try another book by Heather Dixon or Mandy Williams. I actually cringe when I see this book in my audible library.

    "Loved this book!"

This book was well written and I enjoyed every page. I loved the fact there was nothing in this book I would be embarrass for my grandchildren to read. And I could recommended this to my mom without worrying she would read something not nice. A clean read with a sweet story and shows the importantance of family bonds! I highly recommendation this book.

"Light Read But Too Obvious and Too Many Characters"
Would you try another book from Heather Dixon and/or Mandy Williams?

I might try another book by both author and narrator just to give them the benefit of the doubt, but they are not on my top list.

What could Heather Dixon have done to make this a more enjoyable book for you?

I felt like the story was very obvious so there was no new intrigue or any story twists to keep me "turning the pages." I love fairy tales and was overly excited to finally read a retelling of the Twelve Dancing Princess, but I may have placed too high of expectations on this book.

What three words best describe Mandy Williams’s voice?

    naïve, fitting, perky

You didn’t love this book... but did it have any redeeming qualities?

Though there were many characters, it was nice to see the relationships between the sisters. I was grateful the author used an alphabetical flower system to name them, otherwise I would have been insanely lost.

    Any additional comments?

I think the story was probably a very good Pre-teen story. I t was pretty easy to tell what was going to happen, nothing too new or exciting. The book was not for me, but I think the idea of the Twelve Dancing Princesses was a good thought and it would do well to a younger audience.

    "Narrator not that great"
What didn’t you like about Mandy Williams’s performance?

She has a tendency to pause after every sentence. She's good at giving the main character voice inflection but not others. I will not listen to another book that she narrates

Was Entwined worth the listening time?

    no

A charming fairy tale retelling that will appeal best to young teen readers. Has some really eloquent moments dealing with losing a loved one and grieving as a family. Mandy Williams' narration is superb!

    "Disney Like Fairytale"

A very slow start and doesn't start to pick up until at least 1/3 of the way through. It was a little too Disney for me but would do better for a younger audience. This is an adaptation of the Twelve Dancing Princesses Fairytale. The relationship between the sisters and their strong bond was nice.It probably isn’t something I’ll ever reread, but I don’t feel like I wasted my time reading.

This book wasn’t for you, but who do you think might enjoy it more?

I didn't realize this was more of a kids book - I would think for a girl in middle school...
