His name is Jacob NOT J-CUP !!!! Great story...but

Would you consider the audio edition of Eclipse to be better than the print version?

Same

What did you like best about this story?

It is Twilight....awesome story

What did you like about the performance? What did you dislike?

I HATE her preformances in these books. If I have to hear her call Jacob J-CUP one more time! It drives me crazy. I will listen to the stories because I love Stephanie Meyer, but I sure do wish somebody else was reading it. ANYBODY else! She can't pronounce Jacob correctly and every time she reads anything Charlie says, she makes him sound like a mean jerk who doesn't even like his own daughter. And don't even get me started on what Edward "sounds" like. Ugh! If I ever want to listen to anything outside the Twilight saga and she is the "reader", I will pass.

I am sure she is a wonderful person...just in the wrong profession.

Any additional comments?

As for the story itself, well...it's Twilight! And I love it!

Twilight Series

Stunning...I have had many late late nights lying in the dark beside my sweetie with earphones plugged in...I was completely captured by the story that takes place (from Forks to Italy) from the first few chapters of Twilight through New Moon & now Eclipse. My heart broke with Bella's and her pain reminded me of my own first love ended..I am completely entranced with the entire cast of characters in this series. Ms. Meyers has skillfully built so many fascets into each one that with very little imagination entire books could be written about each life...or should I say..life ended.. Hahaha!
2008? That is when the next book is due to be released? I, for one, cannot wait.

We need a man's voice for the male characters

I have read the books twice and seen the movie once. Stephenie Meyer is a very good writer and I am disappointed that she is no longer writing. This particular book in the saga is my least favorite because I felt that too much attention was given to the wolves and Jacob in particular. I felt that he was a distraction and when reading it the first time I didn't understand the need for his character.
To make matters worse the narrator did not, could not read males voices. It was distracting. Especially in Edward's case.

Annoying...

I purchased the entire series after realizing audio books put me to sleep faster than reading. Three books in, I almost can’t stomach the reader well enough to finish out the series. Something about the way she says Bella all slow and high at the end (Bell-laaah) and Jacob (Jake-up) is literally driving me crazy. And the voices, when she bothers to do them at all, are SO bad. Edward sounds like a pervert making prank calls, Jake-up a stoned ten year old, and Alice (though appropriately high and sing-songish) is just supremely irritating...more harpy than vampire. I will definitely avoid any books read by this woman in the future.

amazing piece of literature

I know i am not the intended audience for this book but even though am a teen male i loved it. I started reading Twilight without knowing that it was a girls series. Over time i caught on but i kept on reading because i was so gripped. When i read Eclispe i felt that the way that Stephanie Meyer blended 3 such different charecters lives together was brillant and by the time i had read a hundred pages i was enthralled. She also made me really get into these books like she made me personally hate Jacob with a passion, really like Edward and bella. This series is one of my favorite of all time and i hope that other people find my reccomendation helpful.

Dislike narrator

I have always been a fan of this series, but the narrator does not capture the personalities of the characters right. If you have not read the actual books, this might turn you off the series.

Meh...

I know I'm not the intended audience for this series, although I'm female I left "young adulthood" ages (and ages) ago. I enjoyed Twilight and I will probably listen to the fourth book when it's available (I'm compulsive, okay) but listening to this book was like treading water. The "exposition fairy" ran amok in Eclipse and other than that not much else happens. Nothing is resolved. The outcome of the big "battle" is in no way unexpected. And if you edited out every sentence where Bella expresses either her own unworthiness or someone else's perfection, this book would be half as long. Fans will feel compelled to slog their way through this one but here's hoping Bella relocates her brain and her backbone in time for book 4.

Can't wait for the movie

I love this series of books and have listened to them many times over; however, I got mine for 1 credit each when they were new. The only one I didn't buy from Audible was Breaking Dawn because it was 2 credits. There are many other books with the same price and even higher that are 1 credit. Your 'why 2 credits' excuse doesn't wash.

Continues to Please

Stephenie Meyer has created a world and characters that draw you in. It kept my attention and she always leaves you wanting to see what will happen next. Twilight was probable the best written of the three I have either read or listened to so far but Eclipse provided more action and tied together many of the subplots. The only thing I didn't like about listening to the book was the narration. I guess when you read a book you get a mental picture in your head of what the characters look like and what they sound like and having one person provide the voice for almost all of the characters at times was a little distracting. I like listening to books but in this case I started out reading the first two books then downloaded this one, so that might be the reason why I didn't care for the narration. Anyway it was a really good book and I would encourage anyone who liked the first book to buy this book. The sound quality was very good and when I downloaded it to my MP3 player I had not problems listening to it and the thing I really liked was the fact that it somehow bookmarks where I stopped listening so it picked right back up where I left off even if I skipped to music or a movie and then went back to the book.

Kill Bella

I actually got so sick and tired of listening to her drown and on and on about her delimma between Vamp and Wolf, it thorugholy made the book unenjoyable to me. I have a hard time believing one little girl would be so sought after to cause such turmoil. Just get it over with for goodness sake.
