Both are vampires who were turned centuries earlier and find their way to Elena's hometown of Fells Church, VA. She is doppelgänger of the vampire who turned the Salvatore brothers nearly 500 years earlier—Katherine von Swartzchild. As the series unfolds, Elena finds herself being pulled between the two brothers.

Best performance I’ve heard!

I loved at the very beginning and end they had a separate person to play Jake. The way the person read it was perfect! 5 out of 5 stars would definitely recommend(after reading Twilight and New Moon!)

Story is still so captivating.

The story is so compelling, I love it no matter what. That said, the narrator struggles a bit with male intonations.

Love the Book, didn’t love the readers delivery.

I’ve read the books before, I watched all of the movies, I wasn’t very satisfied with the readers performances. She didn’t seem to capture the characters right. Every character was delivered in a way that they always sounded.. angry. Didn’t enjoy that. Definitely should have listened to the sample before.

Great book.

The narrator's did well. They had enough distinction between the different character voices that it didn't sound like the same person speaking every time.

Different narrator please!!

Please redo this series with a narrator who knows how to read. She pronounced many words wrong and her voice inflections did not coincide with the mood of most of the characters. She made most of the characters sound angry and/or irritated only, leaving out all the other emotions that needed to be conveyed. Made it very hard to listen to.

Great for work

Drowns out the background noise. The book is better than the movie. Perfect to get through the day.

An Imaginative Wrap Up

If you read books 1 (Twilight) and 2 (New Moon) then you MUST read this third book in the series. Stephenie Meyer is an imaginative and very detailed author that leads the reader on a roller coaster of action from beginning to end. She leaves the reader waiting anxiously for the next book.
