Publisher's summary

A girl who believes trust can be misplaced, promises are made to be broken, and loyalty is an illusion.

Easy and Enjoyable Listen

I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I'm absolutely in love with YA /New Adult romance books and this one definitely delivered. There's some very serious subject matter in this book and the author did a good job of making it real and not glossed over. I would not suggest this one to the under 16 crowd. Overall this was an empowering book for young woman and it was a thoroughly enjoyable listen. There are some predictable parts (this is romance) but the story had a fresh feel to it.
I really didn't want this story to end and I had a hard time letting go of the characters.

Didn't Want to Stop Listening

I listened to this book in one day! I usually save books for when I'm traveling for work, but I couldn't wait. I think the summary is deliberately vague because it's too easy to give spoilers or miss the mark when describing this book. You feel invested in the characters from the start...It manages some difficult topics without being over-the-top. The narrator was a good choice - she managed college-aged voices very well and her male voices were fairly good. I actually loved this book (and not only because it was so inexpensive)!

HOTT (Yes, with two T's)

Easy is one HOTT read. Nothing super spectacular and I honestly didn't buy the "conflict" of the two main characters having a relationship. I 100% saw every "surprise" coming but you know what I did not care.

This book was enjoyable, sexy, and down right entertaining.

A Good YA Romance

What made the experience of listening to Easy the most enjoyable?

The narrator was very good. Her voice didn't distract from the story. In fact, she was so good that I almost didn't notice her at all- that is actually a very high compliment.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Easy?

Well, this is definitely on the more "mature" end of the YA spectrum. Those mature moments were particularly memorable.

Any additional comments?

If you enjoy YA romance novels that you can gobble up in one sitting, then you will probably love this book.

Good book for the YA crowd

This book starts off with a very predictable story. There aren't many surprises in this book, however is probably a good book for college girls to listen to. It deals with breakups of young couples that went together during high school, and how things change for them in college. Also, has quite a large segment on date rape, and how kids handle the consequences, with some very helpful ideas on what to do..
As an older adult, it wasn't what I consider a good read, as it was too predictable for my tastes, but if you are a young adult looking toward college or in college...then go for it.

Loved it, but don't think much was 'Easy' about it

STORY (new adult romance) - Easy is a contemporary romance which takes place on a college campus involving college students. There are some difficult issues and a lot going on besides just the romance...BUT...it is what it is, a college romance. I'm an adult with a grown child and it was still a great escape for me, but you may think differently. There's are classes, roommates, parties, fights, breakups, hookups, etc. Nevertheless, I loved it.

The story is told from Jacqueline's perspective. She is a music major who's just been dumped by her long-term boyfriend. She meets Lucas, who has kind of a bad-boy image, but he's noticed Jacqueline. He's sensitive, romantic, sexy...and complicated. They have some issues which must be overcome before they can have a relationship, but I won't spoil them in this review. I will say that I wouldn't have titled this book "Easy."

PERFORMANCE - She reads with good expression, and the "male" voice she gives Lucas is pretty good. Some of Jacqueline's female friends, however, sound a bit too bouncy or nasally for my personal taste. All in all, though, she does a good job.

OVERALL - This is Book 1 of the series, but it stands alone. I understand Book 2 tells the same story from Lucas' perspective and gives a bit more detail in some areas. Recommended for college-age listeners or older (like me) who are in the mood for a walk down memory lane and a romantic escape. There are quite a few makeout sessions that are romantic and steamy, but they don't really go anywhere. Then there are a few sex scenes where the concentration is on kissing and touching with only a minor reference to the actual act. Quite a bit of profanity due to the age of the characters, but it's not "overdone."

Perseverance conquers all.

What made the experience of listening to Easy the most enjoyable?

I love that the author showed the characters can overcome heartaches and hard ship especially in this young adult novel. I love Lucas.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

Great choice with the narrator. Her voice is perfect for this YA book.

Any additional comments?

This book dealt with rape topic and I thought the author did a great job working it through the story line. I am glad she showed the thought process of how the character worked through her decisions.

GOOD BOOK, COMPELLING LISTEN!

I really enjoyed this book and became invested in the characters and the circumstances they dealt with. Well-written with likable characters who are not without their flaws but nevertheless make you feel for them as the story unfolds. I felt anger toward the "villian" and proud of how the main character stepped outside her comfort level, acquired some new skills and was determined not to be his victim. I really enjoyed Lucas, the way he treated her, and the way their relationship and love grew. The events and the main plot thread are on the more serious, mature end of the spectrum within young adult offerings, and author Tammara Webber pulls it off very well! I thought the narration was very good. Definitely recommend!
