Great Story

This book was deep in content and circumstances; touching on unfortunate situations that some people occur in everyday life. The narrator’s male voice were not as male as it needed to be but did an exceptional job with female voices.

Love this book

I’ve listened to this book a million times and I’ll listen to it a million times more. Lucas is total book boyfriend material and I’ll happily daydream about him for hours. Sigh. I recommend this book to anyone looking for something to suck them in and take them to another world.

Easy and Enjoyable Listen

I really enjoyed this book from beginning to end. I'm absolutely in love with YA /New Adult romance books and this one definitely delivered. There's some very serious subject matter in this book and the author did a good job of making it real and not glossed over. I would not suggest this one to the under 16 crowd. Overall this was an empowering book for young woman and it was a thoroughly enjoyable listen. There are some predictable parts (this is romance) but the story had a fresh feel to it.
I really didn't want this story to end and I had a hard time letting go of the characters.

5 stars!

Loved it, but don't think much was 'Easy' about it

STORY (new adult romance) - Easy is a contemporary romance which takes place on a college campus involving college students. There are some difficult issues and a lot going on besides just the romance...BUT...it is what it is, a college romance. I'm an adult with a grown child and it was still a great escape for me, but you may think differently. There's are classes, roommates, parties, fights, breakups, hookups, etc. Nevertheless, I loved it.

The story is told from Jacqueline's perspective. She is a music major who's just been dumped by her long-term boyfriend. She meets Lucas, who has kind of a bad-boy image, but he's noticed Jacqueline. He's sensitive, romantic, sexy...and complicated. They have some issues which must be overcome before they can have a relationship, but I won't spoil them in this review. I will say that I wouldn't have titled this book "Easy."

PERFORMANCE - She reads with good expression, and the "male" voice she gives Lucas is pretty good. Some of Jacqueline's female friends, however, sound a bit too bouncy or nasally for my personal taste. All in all, though, she does a good job.

OVERALL - This is Book 1 of the series, but it stands alone. I understand Book 2 tells the same story from Lucas' perspective and gives a bit more detail in some areas. Recommended for college-age listeners or older (like me) who are in the mood for a walk down memory lane and a romantic escape. There are quite a few makeout sessions that are romantic and steamy, but they don't really go anywhere. Then there are a few sex scenes where the concentration is on kissing and touching with only a minor reference to the actual act. Quite a bit of profanity due to the age of the characters, but it's not "overdone."

Love it, love it!

I am so overwhelmed with emotions. Easy is not only a great book that completely sucked me in, it contains a message that needs to be read by women everywhere. Loss, fear, betrayal, discovery, and love dominate in Easy. I am 100% glad that I read it.

The story starts out intensely, and I mean INTENSELY. I wanted to cover my eyes and cower away because it was just so REAL. The characters all feel like actual people. As the reader, I was able to experience life with them—from the mundane, to the exciting, to the terrifying moments.

Jacqueline is thrown for a loop after Kennedy, her boyfriend of three years, breaks her heart. Mending a broken heart isn’t exactly easy for her because most of her friends have ditched her and she still has a class with the ex. After missing two weeks of said class, she’s fallen behind and is referred to the class tutor, Landon, a guy she’s never met. After exchanging many emails with Landon, she starts to believe that there might be something more to their “relationship.”

Then there’s Lucas, a guy she met on a night she would rather forget. As luck would have it, oh-so-drool-worthy Lucas is in the same class with her and the ex. This just keeps getting better and better. Lucas is mysterious and SEXY, and quite possibly what Jacqueline needs to get over Kennedy. Little by little they get to know each other… this is where you insert SQUEE’s and fanning, lots and lots of fanning.

Love, Love, LOVE this!
"The way he kissed me felt like a brand. Like he was tattooing himself under my skin."

Secrets have a funny way of coming out when you really wish they would dissolve forever. But that’s where honesty can begin which allows you to move forward.

I cringed, I cried, I smiled, I swooned, and I cheered. READ THIS BOOK!

Started with a bang!

Where does Easy rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I love this book, you must listen for 1 hour and then your hooked you shouldn't be able to turn it off. I listen to the whole book twice 2 days in a row. I hope the author make it a series because the characters are so loveable.

What did you like best about this story?

I want to kiss a man with a lip ring. Lol!!!

Which scene was your favorite?

The final scene. Don't want to ruin the ending. However, it was worth the wait.

Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?

It made me laugh and blush.

Any additional comments?

Serious material and a fun read.

Love the book, hate this audio!

What did you like best about Easy? What did you like least?

Good grief, this was the hardest audiobook to listen to. So glad it didnt't me more than $8.00. The narrator Tara Sands did not sound like a young adult. She was just the wrong person for this book. And I love this book and have read it multiple times. The inner dialog narrations were less annoying, but her choice for Jacquelines voice was way off the mark.

What did you like best about this story?

Again, loved the story. It really is a sweet romance with just the right amount of angst.

What didn’t you like about Tara Sands’s performance?

ALL OF IT! Her voice sounded to mature for a part of a young adult.

Could you see Easy being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

It could be a movie, but I can't picture anyone in particular as the roll of Jacqueline. But I would boycott the movie if Kristen Stewart was cast!

Any additional comments?

Read the book if you haven't. You won't be sorry. If they recast this audio like they did with FSoG, I would be thrilled.

Nice surprise!

I needed something to listen to so I took a chance {which I almost always regret}, but not this time. I haven't listen to this author before but will see what else audible has her.
