I'm a stay at home mom, even if she's 16 now. When I discovered Audible it was like discovering love :-) I love Audible. demonsangel
I really enjoyed this short story. It is a short novella or prequel to let us venture to how the first book in the Dancing series starts. I don't own the actual books but the book covers are stunning. This is a very short story and therefore I find it hard to review but I will do my best.
Wendy is a 17 year old girl who is having very vivid dreams of young girls being murdered. The scary part is Wendy's dreams are really happening. She sees these girls being murdered and what's even creepier is they're sending messages to her that she's next. Of course Wendy's too scared to tell anyone for fear of people thinking she's crazy.
I felt like Teri Schnaubelt does a wonderful job with her narration of this story. She does a superb job with her narration of the first book as well, Dancing with Death. I felt a connection with Wendy and the other characters as well. Teri really grabs your attention and pulls you in. Even though it was a short story you can still tell that she's incredibly talented.
This is my first story that I've listened to written by Andrea Heltsley. I must say that I loved the novella, the introduction to the Dancing series. I couldn't stop the story until I finished it. Andrea has written a great intro to read before you start the first book. She creates a glimpse into a teenagers mind that's filled with some scary dreams. Andrea is talented and she has a vivid imagination. One more thing, Andrea loves cliffhangers from what I've discovered. I don't care much for those but I enjoyed her stories all the same and I highly recommend this story before you start the first book.
