Publisher's summary

The much anticipated follow up to the New York Times best-seller Hush, Hush.

Nora should have known her life was far from perfect. Despite starting a relationship with her guardian angel, Patch (who, title aside, can be described as anything but angelic), and surviving an attempt on her life, things are not looking up. Patch is starting to pull away, and Nora can't figure out if it's for her best interest or if his interest has shifted to her arch-enemy Marcie Millar. Not to mention that Nora is haunted by images of her father and she becomes obsessed with finding out what really happened to him that night he left for Portland and never came home.

The farther Nora delves into the mystery of her father's death, the more she comes to question if her Nephilim blood line has something to do with it as well as why she seems to be in danger more than the average girl.

Since Patch isn't answering her questions and seems to be standing in her way, she has to start finding the answers on her own. Relying too heavily on the fact that she has a guardian angel puts Nora at risk again and again. But can she really count on Patch or is he hiding secrets darker than she can even imagine?

Shhh! Listen to more in the Hush, Hush saga.

Cliffy

I’ve read this a long time ago and forgot how annoying she was lol. I feel liked choking her so many times. All in all it was a great book. Caitlin did a great job.

ARG!

Would you try another book from Becca Fitzpatrick and/or Caitlin Greer?

Yes, I am contemplating buying the third book in the series. The Narrator did a good job. The story about drove me mad. Nora Grey (the main character) basically screws everything up, her back and forth character in emotional stubbornness is the reason for %99 of the problems. I had a real challenge trying to finish this book because %75 percent of the book was her own thoughts of what was happening serious schizophrenia. I had to fast forward it a few times, if it wasn't for my Daughter edging me on to finish I would have broke my iPhone and felt good about it (LOL). If you are more left brain, you will not be able to read this book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Becca Fitzpatrick again?

Like I said, I am going to buy the third book in this series and pray it is not like this one. If it is I am never listing to either my Mom or Daughter again! :) Group Hug!

Which scene was your favorite?

The last 2 chapters brought it all together. I didn't see what was to happen as it came all together quickly.

Could you see Crescendo being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

In this case I think the movie would be better then the book. Don't use the same directors as Twilight series did OMG!! That movie series could have been so much better if a real director had picked it up.

Any additional comments?

I expected Nora to have some powers in this book, I was completely bummed by her lack of abilities. Her only super power was weak spidy senses and super selfish self-centered emotionally unstable'ness! ARG! Shoot me!

The MC (Nora) is annoying

Okay so I’m torn between the narration being ick for this story and/or the mc Nora being truly annoying. Maybe combo of both. There were some redeeming qualities, for instance “Patch,” his character is interesting and you want to know his secrets. Elements of this story were good but I literally skipped over of the stupidity and annoyance of the mc Nora. Good grief, between her actions and the narrator one would’ve thought her 10 or 11 yrs old . I love some angst, even self discovery for teens becoming adults but Nora character was so immature and neurotic with horrible reasoning skills for a young woman it was just annoying and not endearing at all. The narrator just added to her unlike-ability, sounding like the less smart version of Nancy Drew’s 9 yr old sister, lol. I will say her voice for Patch & Rikton was good but otherwise .... ugh. Bums me out cause this series has promise and I’ve been told it’s a good storyline if finish it. I may give reading next two books a try , still undecided.

Liked it... but not as much as I thought I would

I love the narrator. The story was OK but I was constantly annoyed by the lack of connection between the main characters. I liked it enough to be tempted to purchase the next book. I'm hoping I'm not disappointed.

Loving the story

LOVED this book! I will say that I found Nora a bit annoying in this one, but I chalked it up to teen girl emotions and finished the book in one day!

Just OK

This was just OK. It wasn't badly written or anything, but I'm starting to actively dislike Nora. She just does some insane things that will get her in trouble.

Beware... Stupid Heroine Ahead

What did you like best about Crescendo? What did you like least?

The story was good and entertaining, but Nora has to be the stupidest most untrustworthy person ever. She is the source to most all of her problems. Also what is with her friend?? Vee would be the last person I would listen to, did Nora learn nothing from the first book.

Would you ever listen to anything by Becca Fitzpatrick again?

Well I'll probably listen to the rest of this series, but I need some time to get over my irritation with the characters.

Would you listen to another book narrated by Caitlin Greer?

She was ok. She did a good job with all the characters with the exception of Vee who sounded stoned the whole time, and Rixon's Irish accent, unless he is a fallen angel leprechaun.

Do you think Crescendo needs a follow-up book? Why or why not?

Well it ends at a cliffhanger and there is already a follow up...
