Finale

A great ending to a wonderful series. Action packed and yet it answered many questions and wrapped up loose ends. Love the female narrator, but not the male. Maybe it was that their accents were different and therefore sounded jarring when they alternated. Glad to be done with this series.

Great story, ruined by horrible performance.

Would you be willing to try another one of Jason Dohring and Sophie Turner ’s performances?

Jason doll, this is not a proper career path for you. Perhaps reading childrens stories..???

Any additional comments?

Loved the story as usual, but would have preferred to read it myself. This was nearly painful.

Poor narration

Story was good overall. More emotion from the narrators would have gone a long way in creating a good listen

Is that dude narrator a robot?

I loved hearing Sansa Stark (aka Sophie Turner) read! But that male was literally unfeeling and awful! I had to check twice it wasn’t a computer or robot speaking. Bizarre.

great story, frustrating narration

This is the third time I've read this series since it's release and the first time I've listened to it, I love the characters and the Shadow world Cassandra Clare had built. I've also read the Infernal Devices series, The Bane Chronicles, Tales from the Shadowhunter Academy, and currently waiting on the next installment of the Dark Artificies and have loved them all. That being said, I usually love audible books because it gives an "out loud" voice to the characters I'm following. This time however, I was very frustrated with the narration. Although I love the British accent that many of the Shadowhunters have, the narration seemed to drop it all together in some of the books, Clary was switched between an American accent and a British accent throughout, and in the last book the word Parabati was pronounced completely different than all the other books (Infernal Devices, Shadowhunters Academy, Dark Artifices included in "all other books"). It seems trivial but it's hard to appreciate what is a really great story when every time it happens it's liked nails on a chalkboard. It might be helpful if the narrators listen to previous books before narrating the next in a series. Just my opinion. But overall, I absolutely love the world of the Shadowhunters!

Couldn't stand the male readers voice

The female was already, but Molly who read the previous 2 books did better. I could not stand the male reading so much that I had to skip listening to his parts and read read the book instead.
The story itself was just as wonderful as the other Cassandra Clare books.

If it wasn’t for Simons predicament I would haves the book! I loved Simon and Isabella together

A Feels Roller Coaster

I started reading "The Mortal Instruments" years ago, but I've always been hesitant of the last book cause I hate endings. But then, the first few books of the series came into the Thrift Store I work at and I recommended them to one of my co-workers. She got addicted to them. So I decided now was a good time to get the last book in this series.

I feel so many things! It's so good though! I haven't felt this immersed in a universe in a long, long time. I love the main characters and love to hate the villain. I rejoice at every victory and feel defeated when they do. I have followed these characters from the beginning and reading (or listening) to these books is exactly like visiting old friends.

Just - why? Jason is AWFUL.

Jason is so bland and boring to listen to. Painful listening to him pronounce normal Shadowhunter words!

The storyline is great - love the books! Hate the constant change in narrators.
