Amid the chaos of war, the Shadowhunters must decide to fight with the vampires, werewolves, and other Downworlders – or against them. Meanwhile, Jace and Clary have their own decision to make: should they pursue the love they know is forbidden?

"Clare continues her talent for mixing hip, modern humor with traditional fantasy, and fans eagerly awaiting the series conclusion should come away more than satisfied." (School Library Journal)
I do like kick butt chick vampire slayers
Throughout the entire series I could not help thinking at 40ish this series was too young for me, then all at once something would happen and I was hooked again.
I would not say it was my favourite paranormal series off all time but was compelled to buy all books in the series to find out what happens and very pleased I did.
Well worth a listen, a very different take on the whole genre
I enjoy reading fantasy, crime and mystery thrillers, as well as historical novels.
City of Glass is not the best book I have listened to, but it is an enjoyable read and an excellent story.
City of Glass is another example of good triumphing over evil, love over hatred and truth over lies.
Natalie Moore was able to bring the emotion of the characters alive to the reader. Just reading it does as well but not to the extent that listening does.
It's in the top 10
It's the culmination of so many fantasy archetypes done in a fab new way with awesome cheek! There is none other than those written by Cassandra, but I also enjoy many of her co authors
Jace...I love Jace, he's always so broken, ironic, sarcastic...I relate to him.
So relieved there is more to it than this book, you get to savour some deeply twisted moments along with euphoric happy ones and I was sad when it "finished". In books 4 & 5 the story and character development rocks...so keep reading
it is fantastic this one was the last one in the series but still had me hanging off every word. not repetitive at all.
This is the third book in the series and concludes the events set in motion by the two previous books. Jace and Clary must come to terms with their past in order to win in the present. This is a tale of love and sacrifice stunningly told by the Author. Every sentence is lovingly crafted. For anyone who has taken these amazing characters to their hearts, this book is a sheer delight, and the excellent narration is just the icing on the cake.
"Loved the whole series"
Would recommend this group of books. This 3rd book, City of Glass really gets your mind racing. I could not leave this book down. An exciting finish.
When Jace and Clary finally discover what the different characters were trying to tell them, throughout the story.
( I don't want to spoil this for a new reader)
Her voice was strange at first, but you get used it.
I have started the next book and she is not reading it.
I miss her voice
I loved this book.
I feel in tune with the characters, completely.
The story was very well told.
When can I get the film in the UK.
"For all ages"
The story kept moving forward so was impossible to put it down or go to sleep etc
The characters may be young, this is a book for young people, but they seemed real and as a pensioner I enjoyed the ins and outs of the story.
Natalie brings personality to the tale and it seemed that each person had their own voice.
The crew preparing for battle and agreeing to work together for the good of all. Quite a moral tale.
"So glad I stuck with this series!"
I was quite convinced I didn't want to continue with this series after the first book. I did because the story was really good - I mean apart from the incest bit, and maybe also morbid curiosity. (I still can't believe an author would use incest in a book and expect people to be ok with it - or maybe she understands that people are intrigued by impossible barriers that separate lovers and the need to fight to be together.)
And now that I have finished the third book I am glad that I stuck with it. Definitely an intriguing story and I was totally surprised by the turn of events.
The narrator was great too :)
"Great light read very Potter influenced"
I read this trilogy and really enjoyed it, very Harry Potter influenced in places but a little older audience.
Another great book in the series, I have already read all the Immortal Instruments & Infernal Devices books and loved them so much that I've bought them on Audio book too so I can listen to them again :0)
after recently reading book 1 and becoming addicted to the series, i must say that the series is the best i have come across for a long time. if you are a fan of anime bleach or twilight you will love this. cant wait for the film in 2013.
"Great Listen !"
Great conclusion to an excellent trilogy, I had a great affinity with the characters and the ending was good and quite moving !
