Publisher's summary

City of Fallen Angels take up where City of Glass left off. With Valentine out of the way, Clary thought she and Jace could finally be together--but when someone starts murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to destroy the new peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, she realizes the past can never be left entirely behind. As the Shadowhunters scramble to find out what's really going on, Jace breaks off all communication with her, refusing to tell her why. Desperate to help him, Clary plunges into solving the mystery, coming ever closer to a secret whose revelation may mend her relationship with Jace--or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, when Camille Belcourt, the elegant bloodsucker who used to rule New York's vampire clans with an iron fist, returns to the city determined to re-establish her control, a vampire war is born. Only Simon--the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side--can decide the outcome; too bad he's caught up in his own complicated love life and wants nothing to do with Downworld politics! Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.

chapters are out of order

I was super confused when I started this because chapter 1 is part 2 of the book, and chapter 12 is part 1. Hopefully fix this?

series starting to go downhill

The story and voice acting is getting worse throughout the series. More typical and predictable. Teenage sex struggles too prominent and annoying.

LOVE the book

The book is amazing, I'm a long time fan of Cassandra Clare and this is not my first time reading (listening this time) to this book.

Fun drama

Fun to listen to the second time around. Enjoy the characters and the stories intertwined with mystery.
Supenceful ending for this book that makes me want to listen to the rest of the story.

The narrators were good filling in the more male voices.

Another great book in this series!

I was afraid with the end of book 3,"City of Glass", and all of the resolutions that came with it, the story of Jase and Clairy wouldn't have the same ZING. But I shouldn't have worried. Cassandra Claire does the same fabulous job as usual and, as usual, I'm bitting my nails for the next one. I thought the narrators were excellent, though it was a bit of a jolt switching from the male narrator to the female narrator. May-be because he speaks in a low, sort of rumbly british accent that grates pleasantly on the ear (frankly I could listen to him all day!) and she is a bit louder. They are both good, just different.

Intriguing and monotonous

Would you consider the audio edition of City of Fallen Angels to be better than the print version?

No. I like the both. The printed version give you a chance to think about what you read. The audio version requires you to pay more attention. If you get distracted, you lose the contents of the story. But the audiobooks give you the chance to use more your imagination

What was one of the most memorable moments of City of Fallen Angels?

When Jace goes to Simon's appartament and meets Jordan.

What about Ed Westwick and Molly C. Quinn ’s performance did you like?

I have nothing to say. I think the both are perfect,

What The HECK is up with the narrators?

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

Ok I am confused between the British accent and the Boston Accent???? Can you not decide....beside NEITHER make me think of Simon or Jace!! And the female voice....has Clarey fallen back to toodler age??? Seriously has to be the worst narration I have ever had in a book! If it wasn't for the story I would return it immediately! I HOPE you guys listen and use different ones for the rest or this will end the series for me!

How did the narrator detract from the book?

They are the worst! Cannot decide which accent they want to use, did not at all capture the characters, and neither had any idea how to make the story come alive, if this is who you used for the rest of the series then sadly this will be the end for me!

Awful narration.

This isn’t my favorite of this series, but I do think that’s partly because the narration is so bad. Bring back the woman who did the first few books!
