Publisher's summary

City of Fallen Angels take up where City of Glass left off. With Valentine out of the way, Clary thought she and Jace could finally be together--but when someone starts murdering the Shadowhunters who used to be in Valentine's Circle and leaving their bodies around New York City in a manner designed to destroy the new peace between Downworlders and Shadowhunters, she realizes the past can never be left entirely behind. As the Shadowhunters scramble to find out what's really going on, Jace breaks off all communication with her, refusing to tell her why. Desperate to help him, Clary plunges into solving the mystery, coming ever closer to a secret whose revelation may mend her relationship with Jace--or rip it apart forever. Meanwhile, when Camille Belcourt, the elegant bloodsucker who used to rule New York's vampire clans with an iron fist, returns to the city determined to re-establish her control, a vampire war is born. Only Simon--the Daylighter who everyone wants on their side--can decide the outcome; too bad he's caught up in his own complicated love life and wants nothing to do with Downworld politics! Love, blood, betrayal and revenge: the stakes are higher than ever in City of Fallen Angels.

So intriguing!

Cassandra Clare doesnt disappoint! These books are so intriguing. The storyling and the way she writes makes it as if I am watching a movie in my mind. Loved the narrators as well!

Readers okay story fantastic!!

I had gotten so used to the reader of the first three books that it’s hard to get used to voices that don’t speak the words the same way. For the guy reader, he was very flat too quiet and not expressive when voicing characters.

Absolutely love the story though!!

Narration narration narration

Ugh, I'm loving the stories but so disappointed in the change of narrator's from book to book. The voice wasn't too bad but there was no change in voice or character with the female voice making it very confusing to follow. I was not sure who was talking a lot of the time. Clarry, Jayce and Simon for example should not have the same tone... it sounded like they were all the same. Awkward love scenes and fights when the tone never changes. I hope these reviews actually matter for future choices in narrators, especially when I see all reviews are a disappointment in the narrator.

Good story, but Narrators don’t match the characters

This was a good book. I was a little disappointed, because I felt like there was no ending closure. I’m all about cliffhangers, but each book should have some type of ending. The narrators were different on this book and did not match the characters.

Great story, mid narration

The story is great, but the switching narrators throughout the story was something that shouldn’t be done

A bit disappointing

I absolutely love this series, but this recording did not do it for me. They should have had the male narrator for the entire book. The female narrator was so monotone and low energy, it took me out of the story. She kept mispronouncing names and other words. I wish they would stay consistent with narration and stuck with the original narrator from the earlier books.

Just OK

Tired of the narrator changing with every book. The forest book had the best narration. The storyline of this one was just ok. I wasn’t totally sucked in by it. My least favorite of the series so far.

the narration, it's not good

I wish they'd hired the same narrator as the first books. Simon's narrator is British... Simon is from New York... and the girl's voice is just distracting. She over-pronounces everything, and I'm not a fan of her acting. it almost reminds me of kids reading aloud in English class. It's really hard to get into the story because the narration doesn't flow as it should.
