Odd and fascinating.

Futuristic twist to Cinderella with a galatic setting. Well written. Fast. Cinderella is a cyborg/human royalty hidden after a horrible accident and raised by a scientist in future China. Highly relatable. It's hard to describe but I really liked it. Worth your time and credit. I have already bought the next one.

Amazingly Creative!

I don't give 5 stars to very many books ... this book was so creative, well thought out, not arrested by plot holes, not wrapped up in a 5 minute "happily ever after" ending ... I was very, very impressed!

I didn't want it to end!

What a great revamp of the Cinderella story. This book combines sci-fi, romance, and suspense and does a wonderful job of it. It kept me interested the whole time and kept me guessing and the narration was excellent. I highly recommend this audio book.

A Great Twisted Cinderella Story!!

I loved this story! Even though it is a twisted Cinderella story, I could not predict how it was going to come out. I am eagerly awaiting the next story in the series.

The reader (Rebecca Soler) was excellent and enjoyable to listen to.

Love a Twist.

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I'm a fairy tale lover, but I have standards. The same story over and over again isn't enticing. THIS book, though, has some fun stuff going on. I abhor spoilers so you won't get any, but the politics and intrigue turn the Cinderella foundation into just a backdrop for an awesome adventure. I'm looking forward to Scarlet!

What other book might you compare Cinder to and why?

I'd compare it to A Girl of Fire and Thorns by Rae Carson - strong, smart, SPECIAL heroine faced with big problems.

What does Rebecca Soler bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

Sardonic tone for Cinder, good grasp of character, great voices.

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

I almost did!

Dissapointing as compared to the reviews

Story line was good, there was a good message built into the story. I found it lacking though, somewhat tiresome reading.

um, does this cyborg foot fit you?

This book was sweet and even though it followed a basic over-told and over-rewritten story, it had a true spark of originality. Cinderella story aside it was still utterly predictable. But i shed a couple tears, laughed out loud and all in all had great fun reading this book.
