Don’t miss this magnificent final chapter in the breathtaking Shadow Falls series! Kylie’s epic journey is about to lead her exactly where she belongs….

When Kylie Galen entered Shadow Falls Camp, she left her old life behind forever and discovered a world more magical than she ever imagined. A place where you’re two best friends can be a witch and a vampire… and where love doesn’t happen the way you’d expect.

When Kylie’s most powerful enemy returns to destroy her once and for all, there’s only one way to stop him - to step into her full powers and make a stunning transformation that will amaze everyone around her. But her journey won’t be complete until she makes one final choice: which guy to love. Should she choose to the werewolf who broke her heart but will give anything to win her back, or the half-fae who ran from their attraction before they had a chance? Everything she’s learned at Shadow Falls has been preparing her for this moment - when her fate will be revealed and her heart claimed forever.

From author C. C. Hunter comes Chosen at Nightfall, the final book in the New York Times best-selling Shadow Falls series about a camp for paranormal teens.

Fun book, but narrator needs water!

What made the experience of listening to Chosen at Nightfall the most enjoyable?

This series consistently entertains. The latest entry is no exception. I liked learning more about the chameleon supernaturals,

Who was your favorite character and why?

I've got a soft spot for wolf boy, Lucas

What do you think the narrator could have done better?

Take a sip of water!! Seriously, sometimes iI was cringing. The sound of her swallowing and trying to gather saliva is just gross, and it happens so often, my heating gets extra sensitive to it. If she did it, say, once or twice, I might not even notice. But it just. Gets. Gross. She had this happen on one or two other books in the series (can't remember which), though this may be the worst case. She was fine on the last book.

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

I like the love triangle; I'm a sucker for that stuff.

Any additional comments?

A big pet peeve of mine in this series is how amazingly often the author describes Kylie's feelings as a sensation happening in her chest or, more often, her heart. Just about everything "pulled on her heart strings" or "swelled up in her chest" or "squeezed her heart," and, oh yeah, her heart whispers to her all the time. It's a really busy heart. I'm amazed the editor or copy editor never pointed this out, the constant repetition of pretty much the exact same metaphor. Though maybe they did, and the author didn't want to listen...

All I can say is wow!! a definite must read

At first I really wasn't sure about this series because a lot of times it's takes a bit to keep me intrigued and interested on the story and the characters. I also missed reading that this series was a ya book not to mention that having heard of this author. I absolutely couldn't put it down and am now seriously suffering a real book hangover. I really didn't want it all to end. now to figure out what to read next...

Awesome YA series!!

The last book in a series is always bittersweet. You want to know the end so you don't have to keep waiting for the next book but you also want your book friends to keep visiting you! Sigh, I loved this whole series. So many wonderful and engaging characters. I can only hope that the Della spin-off series happens and we get updates on the Shadow Falls gang.

Kylie is working on discovering what it means to be a Chameleon with her own kind. They are so cut off from the outside and antiquated. She feels just as lost as she did before going to the camp. Things move along quickly and the threat of Mario pops up again.

Of, course she has another ghost this book demanding help and being super vague. As usual the big reveal is unexpected. This ghost was definitely more of a presence than some of the past spirits. I was happy with the whole resolution there. It seemed very fitting.

Once again most of the story is spent on the great Derrick or Lucas debate. At teh begininhg of the book I thought I knew who I wanted her to choose. But some things were made very clear like who really cheated and who didn't. In the end, I was happy with how things played out. Although, I thought she could have come to some of her decisions way sooner. In the end things made sense and you knew the pairing was right. Fated!

Loved all the side stories going on this book! Holiday and Burnett ( cutest couple ever!!), Della and Steve(oh, I can not wait for this book), Miranda and Perry(sickeningly sappy cute), and several other surprise couples. Really great seeing everybody develop and get their happy-ish ending!

Really well written and perfectly paced. I was pleasantly surprised that with all the drama going on around her Kylie did not go all angsty teen. She stayed the spunky gal I have loved since the first book! I felt there were still a few vague spots in the story at the end but maybe they will pop up in the spin-off series. Most notably things that make Kylie extra special even in her own kind.

Sure some events were way predictable, but if you are clued into foreshadowing it is easy to see the writing on the wall. Not everything was fomula, there were plenty of side twists and turns to keep things fresh and a reader on her toes!

Overall, it was a wonderful reading experience. I laughed. I cried, I never wanted it to end! This is one of those awesome series that I will talk about with every teen I know!

Perfect finale

What made the experience of listening to Chosen at Nightfall the most enjoyable?

Having someone else read the book so I could get a better chance to visually imagine the plot and get to know the characters on a deeper level. The narrator gave the characters personality that I might have overlooked if I read the book on my own.

Any additional comments?

The book is the finale to the Shadow Falls series. I was so sad to be finishing it because I had grown to love the characters and be wrapped up in their lives. What I love about this series is that the setting was here in Texas where I live. It allowed me to feel magical....like there was a possibility that this had all taken place around Houston and there were such things as vampires, werewolves, witches, shapeshifters, faeries, and chameleons! The FRU was real as well as the camp! The author did a great job making the reader feel like it could be all real. I did get frustrated with the main character, Kylie Galen. She loved to torture herself by letting her feelings go back and forth between Deric, the fae, and Lucas, the werewolf. Luckily, that finally is resolved in this book and I like who she chose. I think he was the best one for her. A few surprises pop up throughout the book...we find out about Kylie's mom's b/f (John), we learn more about the chameleons, we learn the crazy warrior ghost's identity, we get to meet both sets of Kylie's g-parents (on her dad's side), and as usual...crazy stuff happens! It is a great series! Love it!
