When Taylor Sparks moves from New York City to Big Bear Lake, California, her life is forever changed when she meets a hot guy with winter-blue eyes named Jesse. Their attraction is instant, the chemistry undeniable. But sadly, things aren't adding up. Taylor wonders what her 'crush' is hiding. When her new friend, Fred tells her his suspicions about Jesse being a paranormal creature, Taylor laughs. But when Fred turns up dead, she believes every warning he ever told her.
Taylor is shocked to learn that Big Bear Lake isn't just glittering lakes, towering pines, and breathtaking mountains...there's more...way more than meets the eye. Will Taylor dive into a paranormal world she knows nothing about? To be with the one her heart can’t live without? Or will her life spiral out of control when she learns her blood is needed...to lift an ancient curse from a group of supernatural beings.
Werewolves will serve as her guardians and protect her until the first full moon of the new year.

My name is Kate, I preferfiction and fantasy. Not so much the alien-fromanother-planet-sci-fi stuff but the witchy books. I like to escape reality every now and agian. faiction amd fantasy provide me that outlet.
Twilight storyline with the stop and start narration of a failing transmission. Sample before you buy!
This is not worth a single star. The narration is terrible. Words are unclear. You hear breathing and irregular pacing and background noises.
The story is weak and writing is remedial. It's on about a fifth grade level but this is not content for fifth graders. I guess immature high schoolers would enjoy it.
It is so bad you get to the place that you can't stand it anymore and have to quit listening.
Hmmmm......where to start????
I missed most of the story only because the narration was so amateur, I kept thinking about how it was possible to be that bad and still get hired. Maybe "daddy's little girl" needed a job so he pulls in a marker or an executive's mistress needed an excuse to be around said executive.
Ultimately, I could think of no excuse Audible might offer for torturing its patrons in this fashion. I'm dyslexic and I could have done a better job. It is my hope that Audible will fix any future plans to use this narrator - Elizabeth Meadows by name! She is able to destroy even the most well-written of prose.
I rather enjoyed the story however, found it hard to follow her reading because, she struggled on some of her words. Not trying to be mean just, think she could use some work.
I would have probably enjoyed this series had I been able to tolerate the narration. There was background noise, improper English and just mispronunciation. Sad because I would have purchased the rest of the series.
Couldn't even finish it!!!
Certainly, as long as it was narrated by someone who can properly speak and articulate the English language.
I love you read. My favorite narrator is Elizabeth Meadows
I love listening to all of Elizabeth's books in order. You hear her doing.. pretty awful, and then advancing as she goes. If you listen to her work now, you hear no mistakes, no background noise, she's learned so much. Not everyone starts a professional.
The vampires, everything
She is amazing! I love how she brings the story to life. I love every book Elizabeth does, and I think i'm one of her biggest fans!
Yes, I read the whole series in one sitting.
I read a blog about Elizabeth, and heard that she is going to redo these books no charge to the author, because it's not the authors fault she was new. She wants the readers to have the best experience, and feels bad that she was inexperienced. I think that shows what kind of person she is!
Very terrible narration vouce, pace of reading too fast. no emotions or clear cut transition of conversation from one character to the other. though story is interesting. the voice narrration performance however was just pain boring and bad,.
the narrator is horrible sounds like a 5th Grader. she's not too bad with the characters, but the in-between dialogue was just ridiculous sounding. I'm only on chapter 3 and am glad I did not spend more than a 1.99 on the audio. I think I would rather listen to the voices in my head then to her.... so back to the ebook I go. The story is not too bad so far.
Horribly written, bad plot, I mean was there a plot? Mostly I could handle a badly written story but the narrator was not ready for even this level of a book. She said several obvious words wrong and split full sentences into awkward jumbled phrases with pauses thrown in and her breathy voice sounded like all the other adult books on here that she's read for. Sorry if this seems harsh but y'all asked and I'm being honest. I spend a lot of money on here reading books for the kids I nanny for! This is NOT approved. Besides if they do a search on this author, they'll come across her other portfolio! NOT COOL!!!!!!!
