Loved this book!

Only the begining of the adventure

What made the experience of listening to Bloody Jack the most enjoyable?

The narration was the big seller for me. I've read the book before, but Kathrine Kellgren's narration just brought the whole thing to life.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Bloody Jack?

Now that would be telling, I wouldn't want to spoil things for new readers/listeners. I will say that I enjoyed the bit with the kite.

Have you listened to any of Katherine Kellgren’s other performances before? How does this one compare?

I've bought things she's narrated just because she narrated them. She's really good in this book and just gets better in the sequels.

Totally Entertaining

Would you recommend this audiobook to a friend? If so, why?

I am not sure I would recommend this to a friend because it is geared more for teens I believe. However, It was a very fun read and I had all of the remaining books in my wish list.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Jacky is the STAR. The girl has pluck and is very energetic.

Which scene was your favorite?

I loved the scene where she is transported (I don't want to give away any of the plot) to the deserted island.

Awesome Performance by Narrator

I bought this book a long time ago, but didn't listen to it until now. It's an enchanting story, made perfect by this awesome narrator. I can't imagine anyone else as the voice of Jacky Favor. I will be listening to other books in this series.

Favorite Series Ever

Bloody Jack is my absolute favorite Series ever. I've listened to all 12 twice and certain sections multiple times. Katherine Kellgren's amazing tallent (more then just a voice) brings the characters to life.

Couldn't Stop Listening! Gripping!

The narrator was phenomenal, capturing the different moods, the various characters, and the variety of accents! iPhone really enjoyed the storyline and could picture each detail in my mind.

My 12-year old neighbor recommended this series to me. I downloaded the first book (Bloody Jack) on a whim at the time. But now I've listened to the next 3 in the series. Not only are the stories fantastic, rich and lively, but the narrator is absolutely brilliant. Her voice and accents are lovely. I highly recommend these audiobooks (even if you're a little older than 12 ... or a lot older).

Great Book!!!!

I love the way Katherine Kellgren portrays, the main character, Jacky!! She is the perfect essence of who I imagine Jacky to be. I can't wait to listen to the rest of this series! The story is great and the narrator portrays that greatness with her voice and emotion. L.A. Meyer is one of my new favorites. This was a great book to listen to! I would recommend it to anybody.

Entertaining

The narration is the best I've ever heard on an audio book. The narrator can move between different accents, sing and perform as a one person show. Absolutely brilliant! Some of the sexual content related to pedophilia and rape is raw and not nuanced, so be forewarned if listening with kids.
