Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She's come to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, Zoey finally feels like she belongs-like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend...or two.
Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey's old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves.
Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.

I'm a big fan of si-fi, but I'm finding that a love for mysteries budding up in me. I also like a lot of nonfiction.
The House of Night series was written by a teenage girl (and her mother) for teenage girls. If I were a teenage girl, I would like it better, however; if I were a parent of a teenage girl, I would probably hate it. An extra note. Although it is technically a vampire story, the pagan style of magic would appeal more to those who like witches than those who like vampires.
Zoey the other characters were so distinct, I'm still trying to figure her out. and i have read all the books except Revealed
Love ya !
It is not a bad story, a good narrator, you don't have to think too much. Enjoyable and full of action.
I enjoy the writing, very simple.
Her accents are well executed between the characters, she is one of the better narrators.
Yes, worth a listen, not as good as the first in the series but good enough taht I will continue with the series.
I am a miracle worker. Doing what I can to choose love over fear.
I do not rank audiobooks because:
A. Since I listen to generes raging from a classic fiction to a field study
B. Different moods means as my mood change so does my genre of the day
C. This is a vampire series: The only suited for me, it might be about teens when we talk about the age they are teens Their actions is NOT suitable for teens below the age of 18.
Stevie-Ray because of her high-speed story
She IS the characters.
Yes: It is always sad when a cool character half-dies.
The perfect vampire book for those who never have found a vampire series for adults.
I love a print book buck everyone like to be read to so I purchase both whenever I can
i dont like her voice
i like all the mystery all the hidden stuff and the subtle foreshadowing
love theseries the book is awesome just couldnt stand that girls voice
While I did enjoy Betrayed more than I initially thought I would, it could do with a bit of housecleaning to rid itself of too much coincidence and too little realistic interaction among the teens. I also think that much of the "vampyre" rituals seem to be more "witch-like" than they should be. But in general I did enjoy the story and I still like the whole idea of The House of Night and creepy undead creatures and people who aren't what they seem to be. I'd love to give this one 3.5 stars for general entertainment.
This book is very detailed and vivid on painting a picture in your head as you listen...... Narrator is vey talented in keeping up with all the different voices of the characters...... I love her Stevie Ray voice.
Edwina Wren's performace was very good and the story seemed to just fly by and left me wanting more of the same, before I was done I ordered the next book in the series.
