Fledgling vampyre Zoey Redbird has managed to settle in at the House of Night. She's come to terms with the vast powers the vampyre goddess, Nyx, has given her, and is getting a handle on being the new Leader of the Dark Daughters. Best of all, Zoey finally feels like she belongs-like she really fits in. She actually has a boyfriend...or two.
Then the unthinkable happens: Human teenagers are being killed, and all the evidence points to the House of Night. While danger stalks the humans from Zoey's old life, she begins to realize that the very powers that make her so unique might also threaten those she loves.
Then, when she needs her new friends the most, death strikes the House of Night, and Zoey must find the courage to face a betrayal that could break her heart, her soul, and jeopardize the very fabric of her world.

Favorite series thought the read was great the audio book is even better. the only thing I would suggest is maybe have some background noise or someone to do the male parts.
If you like the series then I don't have to tell you that it is a good book. That being said I like the performance.... To a point. You can tell where she stopped and picked up for the day by the tones on her voice pitching. Twice I had to rewind it because the sudden change made me think it skipped. You can also clearly hear her swallow and chop with slightly dry mouth.
love the series I just think the author takes a little extra time than others to build up her next book/storyline. certain things are talked about for just a bit too long but otherwise i love the series and will be reading them all.
Zoey the other characters were so distinct, I'm still trying to figure her out. and i have read all the books except Revealed
Love ya !
It is not a bad story, a good narrator, you don't have to think too much. Enjoyable and full of action.
I enjoy the writing, very simple.
Her accents are well executed between the characters, she is one of the better narrators.
Yes, worth a listen, not as good as the first in the series but good enough taht I will continue with the series.
