loved it!! made me a fan! nothin like the movie

Where does Beautiful Creatures rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?

I really enjoyed this read/listen. There is so much to love about it. The theatrics were refreshing. I will look for more audio books from the this author, this narrarator and producer, lol. I chose this book cause i had watched the movie, but this book is nothing like the movie. They are so different from each other it could be a whole different story. 17 hrs of joy!

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beautiful Creatures?

The song 16 moons plays instead of just being read, glass breaks, rain sounds. Its like listening in hd.

What about Kevin T. Collins’s performance did you like?

Every bit of his performance was awesome

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

Ethans connection with his father, and how the loss of his mother distroyed thier relationship

If you could sum up Beautiful Creatures in three words, what would they be?

I enjoyed the story and the interview at the end was a nice bonus.

What does Kevin T. Collins bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?

The reader really brought it to life. Loved the dialects and vocal depictions.

If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?

too late, already been done - going to see it in a few days when it opens :-)

Good read, great characters

Would you consider the audio edition of Beautiful Creatures to be better than the print version?

Yes, the narration , voices, and sound effects really made the story so much richer than reading the book.

What was one of the most memorable moments of Beautiful Creatures?

Lenas win over the DAR and school board to get back into school.

The book had a few twists, but it was a bit obvious.

He's great.

If this book were a movie would you go see it?

I did....I hated the movie and it upset me that Kami and Margaret would allow that to happen. The movie was so off from the book. Ridiculous.

Harry Potter meets Twilight..

The book is entertaining and keeps you listening, if you are into these kids of books. I laughed a little when they talked about theHarry Potter series in the book as this reminded me of Harry Potter in a more Twilightly way. You will root for the good guys and boo the bad guys like you should. Not thedeepest novel ever, but I don't think that is what they are going for. Good fantasy entertainment.

Great Read!

This was an absolutely fantastic book. I normally don’t like books of this type, but Margaret Stohl and Kami Garcia have done an incredible job with this book. They take an unbelievable subject and grab the reader’s attention from the beginning, through the book until the very end. When I put the book down, I thought … I can’t wait for the next one to come out. On a scale of 1 to 10, I would give it an 11!

Great book, good narrator, terrible sound effects

I loved this book - I really liked the narrator - he did a fantastic job despite the unnecessary and annoying sound effects randomly appearing in the background. I "read" many audio books, have read well over 300 at this point - and I don't think I've ever been as annoyed at a overall performance - again, not the narrator's fault, unless he's the one who decided to add the amateur, annoying, silly, and random sounds. For me, it detracted substantially from the book. I have an imagination of my own, that's why we read books instead of always watching movies - and I certainly don't need the sound of rain on a roof or thunder in the distance when the narrator says that there's a storm outside - I don't need the weird music of a dream when a character is dreaming. It had the sound of an old radio show, like "The Shadow," when some guy stood behind the radio actors and made sounds with various random objects. I will, probably, listen to the rest of this series if I don't have to put up with sound effects, ruining my experience of the book.

A teen drama similar to divergent but more plot.

As a guy I like how this love story was from a guys point of view. The descriptions leave more for the mind to make up which is fine by me. I finished divergent before this and from my pt of view there was too much description of just how hand went together. I can relate to this story more.

Off To An Awesome Start!!

If the story continues the way it is going, I believe it will become an exceptional and dramatic saga to rival many, many others!
I literally couldn't stop listening for hours and hours on end. The first night I listened for over 14 hours straight and was so tired that I worried about missing too much, so, I got a good night’s sleep then started all over from the beginning the next day... I was very glad I did that, because I would have, indeed missed too much.
I cannot wait to hear the next 3 books. :-)
