great story horrible narration

I struggled listening to this. The narrator has such a droll monotone voice it makes this awesome book horrible.

disappointing

i had heard about this book from friends and finally having read it i was disappointed in its content. the love story in it was sweet but the subject matter is disturbing. teens have enough problems just being teenagers but to have to deal with the supernatural and especially the dark side of the supernatural to me was disturbing. especially when the dark side consists of people who should love and support us not try to bring us to them and become part of the evil/darkness. i was glad when the book ended but it was so obvious that the ending the authors chose leaves no doubt that there will probably be a sequel which i will not be reading.
the narration was excellent.

A world that immerses you

Kevin T Collins telling of this amazing story will hold you from word one. This is one of my favorite series. Don't see the Young Adult tag and assume it's not for you. Love and death and the length we will go for family we can all relate to mixed with magic.

sound effects ruined it

The performance of the actor would have been plenty. Unfortunately, the sound effects were so distracting it really ruined the book. (especially in the final scenes with the storms).I hope they don't include those in the 2nd audio book or I'll probably skip the rest of the series.

It reminded me of Twilight but about witches. It was a good listen!

What did you like best about this story?

The story line was good. Could have used more romance but I think the book is made more for teenagers/ young adults.

The narrator did a wonderful job of creating all the different voices. Kept me interested the whole time!

Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?

It was a very long book but I couldn't wait to continue when it was time to take a break.

Enjoyed everything about book. Look forward to reading the rest of the series.

Who was your favorite character and why?

Ethan -He so passionate of his feelings for Lena. He strongly believes that she can conquer the dark and become a light caster. He also believes that they can make a future together in spite of all of the obstacle of Lena's family present.

What about Kevin T. Collins’s performance did you like?

He did a great job changing his voice with each character. I could tell right away which character was speaking based on the different tone. great job!

Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?

When Ethan died then came back from the dead because of Lenas love and when her beloved uncle died in Ethan's place.

Loved it!

The story itself is, of course, amazing. But the performance of the narrator(s) for this audiobook was just perfect. From the multiple voices giving each character their own uniqueness down to the background noises and actual singing of 16 Moons, this was one of the best audiobooks performance-wise I've listened to. Downloading book 2 right now :)

Yes, its a magnetic story that pulls you in and you don't know where its going to end.

Its like harry potter. Cause you have magic and good and bad people.

no I haven't but he did a wonderful job.

Yes the last two chapters.

this book sends a beautiful message to the readers. Its empowering and paints such a beautiful picture.

Amazing!

The narrator in this audio edition was absolutely fantastic! He brought the characters alive for me with his different accents for each character. He portrayed each character, young and old, perfectly. I will probably never read the physical book because of this audio.The audio edition is just so much more!!!
