The story, although frustrating and emotional, is more true to life than the listener sometimes wants it to be. You ache for Emma but you get angry at some of her decisions regarding Jonathan. The loyalty of Sarah and Evan is honorable. The analogy to Twister is that RD does an excellent job of intertwining the characters' lives...actions...right/wrong...and doesn't loose the listener/readers pull to "hang in there". Look forward to the final book!
The realness, pain, and lessons of love
Evan & Emma love can stand the test of time and with patience it would never waver
The art room when evan returned
Author picked awesome narrators
Based n the characters I think this book was written for teens but I found myself drawn in and after the first book had to keep going. This is a series of three that should be read in order. The second book was my least favorite of the three. It seemed drawn out, but the characters and story line were important for book three. Overall I would recommend.
I enjoyed the characters and the reader was really good.
Emma is an accident waiting to happen and she didnt think about the consequences. I was frustrated with all the bad that happened
Kate was great.
This is a good series but I need a break from all the drama. I'm sure I will listen to book 3 but not right now, I have other books in my wish list that I would rather listen to right now. This girl just make to many stupid mistakes and it gets old after a while.
As with the other series, I think you will enjoy this book and as usual alway's start with the first book. I enjoyed all three.
I like the story it is interesting. The hard thign was getting through how much this main character cries. It is really hard to get through but you keep listening because you want her to stop crying at some point.
I have not idea. More happiness some where hehehe
She was super awesome!
I am a retired Army veteran and love to read. I like murder mystery, but enjoy nonfiction. I am a long time Star Trek fan.
No, It was entirely too long for the contents.
Hated. It. Even though it was open ended enough to envision another book to clean up some questions about the characters
I always enjoy Kate Rudd's narration. She never disappoints.
There was some laughing and crying moments,
The constant emotions I felt while listening. I truly laughed out loud, almost cried a few time. I listen on the train to work and while walking downtown, I must look a so strange.
This book and series have just truly pulled me in hook line sinker. I feel the emotions of the characters as if they are my own, as if they are my friends. I feel the pain they feel, the sadness in their lives.
He intonations, her ability to relay true emotion in the words, is outstanding, and unbeatable.
I would sit in my car and listen while sitting in the parking lot if I was driving, i would listen while cooking dinner, yes! I wanted to finish this in one sitting I couldn't wait to hear what happened next.
Book 1 was good, but this one was harder to listen. Just when I thought I'd call it quits, something interesting would happen. It was worth the purchase, but just barely. And Book 3 wasn't worth the purchase at all.
Not if it was a series. Feels like she watches soap operas and keeps the ridiculous drama going. Not a book that keeps your interest throughout, that's for sure.
Emma of course.
Well, it has a follow-up and no, it wasn't worth it.
