When Alcatraz and Grandpa Smedry make a pilgrimage to the Free Kingdom city of Crystallia, the Smedry home base, Alcatraz is shocked to see that he is, in fact, a legend. When he was a baby he was stolen by the Evil Librarians, and his mother, a Librarian herself, was behind the whole scheme. Now, with his estranged father, who is acting indeed strange, Bastille, who has been stripped of her armor, and Grandpa Smedry, who is, as always, late to everything (that's his Talent), Alcatraz tries to save a city under siege. From whom? Why, the Librarians of course!

in the ending added by the audio book company the person says the next book is by Brian Sanderson!?! not sure how that made it to the audio.
5 stars is i love and i will read agani and again. 1 is i hate and i never want to hear about it ever again. YES = :))) - NO= :'(
I do like that there isn't much repeat of environment in this series, this one was finally based in the one of the 3 kingdoms and the way of life there is very interesting.
Brandon Sanderson shows how funny he can get in this series, and I do love those breaks between each chapter, they are really funny. and its ending is always funny.
You get to see how special and strong Alcatraz is in this book. and also what authority he has in these kingdoms.
Really enjoyed and laughed a lot.. beware food and drinks while listening to it.
If you've read the first two books you know about the annoying interuptions from the narrator. It can funny to the right person. I'd compare it to Lemony Snickett's style on steroids. so if you like fantasy and "A Series of Unfortunate Events" You'll love the Alcatraz series. Hats off to Ramon de Ocampo as well. A truly talented narrator.
It was AMAZING!!! I have listened to this story over 100 times now and it never gets old! The narrorater was AWESOME!!! He really put feeling it his reading which made it ten times better! This is one of my top fav. books ever!!!
Alcatraz Smedley writing under the pseudonym of Brandon Sanderson tells his life story in a brilliantly funny style. Hushlanders everywhere need to get a copy of this audio book as well as a hard copy or ebook version of this, so far 4 part autobiography. Children everywhere need to be enlightened about what librarians are really up to. Ramon de Ocampo gives an excellent performance of the audiobook.
I'm a web developer based out of Sacramento, I listen to books while I work, and love audible.
If you've read the other 2 books in the series, it's more of the same. If you want to read it start with book one.
The series continues to be interesting. The story is still light-hearted; still for most audiences, and still light-hearted and entertaining. It is short, though. Keep that in mind if you decide to listen to this book.
I've listened to the first three and they've all had the same pluses and minuses. Addictive storyline. obnoxious writing style. I'd like to delete the continual stupid commentary, and combine the series into a single book. That gives you an idea of how much stupid commentary you have to endure.
