Publisher's summary

13 Minutes is a psychological thriller audiobook with a killer twist. From the #1 internationally bestselling author Sarah Pinborough. “Mean Girls for the Instagram age.” —The Times (London)

The New York Times bestselling author known for her thrilling twists is back.

They say you should keep your friends close and your enemies closer, but when you're a teenage girl, it's hard to tell them apart.

Natasha doesn't remember how she ended up in the icy water that night, but she does know this—it wasn't an accident, and she wasn't suicidal. Her two closest friends are acting strangely, and Natasha turns to Becca, the best friend she dumped years before when she got popular, to help her figure out what happened.

Natasha's sure that her friends love her. But does that mean they didn't try to kill her?

Critic reviews

“A psychological thriller perfect for fans of Gone Girl and The Girl on the Train. 13 Minutes takes a haunting look at the dark side of teenage friendships…Pinborough’s sharp prose drives the novel through a series of incredible twists and turns.”
BookPage

“Pinborough’s thrilling murder mystery is filled with twists and turns... But at its most basic level, this is a story of petty high school betrayals, popularity contests with toxic frenemies, and vividly depicted peer pressure, all of which combine to create a painfully real novel.” —Publishers Weekly

13 Minutes is an undeniable page-turner, but don't turn too quickly or you'll risk missing Pinborough's crackling language and nuanced depiction of the thrill—and terror—of adolescent friendships.” —Tara Altebrando, author of The Leaving and The Possible

Quite good

Well, this is definitely YA. BUT it definitely held my interest and I really enjoyed the narrarator. Mean girls mixed with Pretty Little Liars. And I like that sort of thing.

Decent Ending!

This book may seem like it gives away to much in the middle but there’s a good twist in the end. It’s a guilty pleasure read for childish high school drama. The reason behind it all is though kind of dumb but most reasons you hear about in the news are dumb.

great book!!!!!

love Sarah's imagination!!! her descriptions are so realistic, I actually got the urge to Google or look up what the characters were searching in the story. Perfect performance from the reader as well. although the transitions from one character to the next was confusing at first. you just have to pay attention.

Great

Loved it. The only thing I would have liked, was at least one more chapter to pull everything together. The ending left you wanting more.

Definitely not a teenage book

I have to admit I only read this book because my 13 year old daughter wants to read it. I found it To be very good book very entertaining.Good characters Entertaining story nice plot.
But it's definitely not for my 13 year old A lot of foul language sexual contentn and drug use. The Book give you a feeling that it's perfectly fine with Every character in the book

What a chilling story!

I loved this story! It was not at all what I expected. It had the air of Mean Girls and Heathers. Great characters. Believable plot. Twists and turns. The narrator had a lovely voice and performed the various voices so well it felt like you were really hearing various people. Highly recommend.

It was boring

The ending was amazing but it was way to boring for way to long for me to fully enjoy it.

All that for THAT?

Love Sara Pinborough, but this book was not good. I tried to get through it. Everyone kept talking about "that ending". I figured I would look and find a book summary or some sort of spoiler. I could not find any. So since I loved the ending of Behind Her Eyes I figured I would stick it out. BORING. Then the end came, and it was so predictable it was laughable. Not returning, but it is return worthy.
