A collection of out of this world stories of many genras

This is impressive. The author built a series of world and then wrote many different genras in them from exploration to mystery to social intrigue all with his own brand of magic and he isnt bad at narrating his own series either.

A magical, musical science fiction collection

Received as an audio review copy from Story Origin, this is and honest review. Narrated by the author himself, Tales of the Dissolutionverse is a beautiful and complex deep dive into the world crafted by William C Tracy. Inhabited with quirky and unique characters are deftly vocalized to shine through during their adventures. Packed with an interwoven history shared by the Ten Home Worlds, this collection is mysterious, magical and poignant; you will keep coming back again and again to keep exploring this highly imaginative realm. Highly recommended.

Cute book

I liked this book.I really liked all the different species that the author came up with. The stories are fun to listen to.

Magical Musical Tour

William C Tracy has written a series of short stories involving the planets and characters found in the Dissolution Universe. The collection was entertaining and enjoyable; although I did like some stories better than others. William C Tracy does a fine job with the narration, creating distinct voices for different characters which adds to the entertainment factor. I was given a free copy of the audiobook and I have voluntarily left this review.

SciFi Sampler

I chose to listen to this collection to get an introduction into this particular SciFi universe. Some SciFi is too sciencey for me, but that wasn't the case here, and I enjoyed listening to these stories.
The worldbuilding is extensive, with unique species and vivid description, but not hard to understand. I also liked that there were a variety of subgenres within the SciFi umbrella — political intrigue, adventure, and mystery. The stories aren't long, but are well crafted and fully developed.
With this introduction to the universe and some of the characters, I feel like I have a good understanding of the way things work, and am ready to take on a longer novel.
The stories are capably narrated by the author. I always have the greatest respect for an author who narrates his own stories!

Different

This was not really what I was expecting truthfully. It was pretty interesting though and well written, though I should have started at the very beginning. The author was the narrator and did pretty decent job with the narration so overall it was pretty good, I plan to go back and start from the beginning of this series.

Baskerville Book Reviews

I’ve been putting this one off for a while. I’ve grown to hate SciFi over the last 4 1/2 months of reviewing and this was a long one. Thankfully I was able to get into it pretty quickly.

The world is intriguing, leading to me wanting to know more. The stories are incredibly descriptive and fleshed out. While I did feel like I was missing some context, such as the year(s) this takes place. It’s mentioned occasionally but without context, I have no basis. The same goes for the repeated mention of “cycles”. Out of context, I have no idea how long that is. Based on the way characters talk, at times it sounds like it could be months, years, decades, or centuries.

I try not to get into too many series because it’s not easy on the wallet. But this is one I think I’ll be returning to at some point. While I wouldn’t say any of the characters are particularly compelling it’s the world-building and lore that interests me.

Normally I can’t stand when authors narrate their own work. They’re usually dull and listless. This was one of the best narrations I’ve heard in a while. The author does a terrific job narrating, doing voices and accents. While he does mispronounce the word envelope, something I find incredibly annoying. Onvelope isn’t a word. The rest of the book was a joy to listen to. I can think of 8 stories I’ve reviewed where the author did the narration and this is the only one I like.
