Publisher's summary

Stephanie Michelakakis worked and sacrificed for her position as a lieutenant in the Coalition. She was on track to become the first woman ever accepted into a Royal Guard, specifically King Jotham's Royal Guard. Then, a life-altering injury shattered her dreams. Now, she must figure out how to move on with her life.

Nicholas Deffand was the youngest male ever named as the captain of King Jotham's Royal Guard. He served and protected his king to the exclusion of everything else. But now, he's found a woman who not only understood what his job entailed but his dedication to it as well.

These two dedicated people never expected to find love. Will they be strong enough to make it work, or will their relationship be another sacrifice they must make?

Did Not Like the Cliffhanger!

I have come to expect a certain level of storyline from M. K. Eidem; this one fell short. Her cliffhanger as the ending was not welcome. Especially since this audible edition was released under a different publisher months before the Audible release date. I as an M.K. Eidem fan and 1st buy had to wait to purchase since I prefer Audible. I wonder why she felt it necessary to include a cliffhanger when her previous 3 Challenge books did not?

Very Pleasurable and a Cute read

For me "Stephanie's Challenge " was very enjoyable it reminded of MK Eidem's Oryon (Torians) short and sweet. It had it's own atmosphere of excitement with the couple, because let be honest we have been waiting to know what happened stephanie health, her career and how her relationship with Nicholas will play out but a hint for what to come next. The Cliffhanger I really didn't mind it was good (it really have me wanting more) MKE really know how to give a good Cliffhanger keeps you guessing for her next books will all the different elements. Just like how she did in Torians and Kaliszain series, MKE has you wondering/guessing what is going to take place with ULL's mission to earth and, the Kaliszain emperor and his empire stories. MK Eidem just keeps us wanting more....Well done miss MKE

Stephanie is alive!!!!!

I have been waiting for this story forever. M.K. Eidem has a gift and a flair for writing however compared to other authors she is very slow when it comes to putting out a next book. This book is years overdue. The last book in this series was Jacinda's Challenge which was released in 2015. I know that every author and writer has a life however when it comes to series as a reader if you are not consistently relistening to certain books within that series you tend to forget about all the characters and not very interested in what is happening with other characters.

I just assumed that Stephanie was never going to get a book because of the fact that it took so long to be released. However, I am glad that I really listened to the other three books within the series to still be passionate about what is going to happen next.

If you follow the series there is an ongoing conflict that seems too involved a lot more people then anybody thought. In the previous book Stephanie has been mortally injured and we did not know if she survived or not.

We do know her lifemate Nicholas and her have been dancing around should they or should they not and this is their book. I 100% enjoyed Stephanie and Nicholas courtship. He is the type of man who understands that his woman is a boss and is okay with that. He is not afraid to be subservient to her and his male ego is not affected either. The fact that he is 100% comfortable with in their relationship is great.

I do enjoy Stephanie's family and I'm glad that we got to see more of them. I also enjoyed the fact that Nicholas' parents, who we glimpsed just a little bit, is just as meddlesome and just as involved within his life as Stephanie's is. I am secretly waiting for Nicholas and Stephanie's family to do a huge get together and have a holiday.

Is it mentioned before there are people doing shady things and there is a traitor amongst them. Everybody assumed that they caught all the traitors however the level of conspiracy that is happening within this series is mind-boggling. I really want to know what is a reason that the traitor feels the need to do what he or she is doing and I really am excited to see it be unraveled within Michelle's mind.

This story ended up with a major cliffhanger and I really hope that it isn't three more years before we figure out what the heck is going to happen next.

Another Challenge well done

I absolutely love the Challenge series! I’m not going to get into details, but this is a book well worth the wait. I wasn’t sure if I would like Stephanie; however, M. K. turned her into a strong, resilient person who learns that not all pathways are what you plan them to be. And Nick, well what’s not to love about him. Supportive, caring, and yet still alpha... yep, love him.

Wonderful

This was wonderful. The voice for Nick was great, a new sound so it is not just a copy of previous characters.
I liked the story, it was a fresh theme, and I really liked Stephanie.

Definitely looking forward to Barric and Amina. They could potentially make a good closing end to the series.
