I purchased this book because I was vaguely interested in MMA, more fantasizing really about getting in shape and maybe competing again. What I didn't expect was just how much BK was going to get me hooked on Thailand also. I have listened to this book at least 10 times, the narration is fantastic. Aside from being inspiring, this book will make you laugh out loud at times. Next month I'm going to visit a beautiful girl in Thailand and will be spending my first month there in what I hope develops into a half time each year stay. That was literally inspired by this book. I buy everything this guy writes, it's awesome.
This is the best book on the subject of Muay Thai training in Thailand. This book is filled with expert advice and information. Everything from getting around Thailand, where to go , where to workout, who to train with, cost of living.
This audible gives great detail in most aspects of BK's writing, letting you know that you can stay here long term, you just have to plan it right. I have been to China and made some decent money so everything is possible.
This is the ultimate resource for everyone wanting to train MMA or muay thai, or even just travel, to Thailand. The author really explains what separates Thailand from all the other popular training destinations. He then explains how to make it all possible. Reading this book is like having an inspirational and motivational conversation with a friend, professional fighter, coach, manager, travel agent, and Thai local, all-in-one. There is no other resource available that even comes close to the knowledge Kesler provides.
The author goes in depth on which cities are best, what the top gyms are, where to eat clean food, Thai culture, how not to be taken advantage of, etc. More importantly, he outlines the financials of it all. He details the avenues available to finance your stay, as well as documents his every expense and budget.
Like I said before, there's just no other resource that can touch the breadth and depth of knowledge you'll find in this book!
