The Score Takes Care of Itaelf

I enjoyed reading this book discovering the principles and leadership qualities of Bill Walsh. Looking at only his coaching career doesn’t do him justice in terms of how he molded an organization into a mirror image of himself. As someone who has spent 20+ years in the corporate world, a lot of the principles discussed are still valid today. I recommend this book to anyone that’s fan of football, attempting to discover new leadership principles and who wants to better themselves.

Phenomenal Leadership training

How many people with their own style of leadership could achieve the same winning results as Bill Walsh had with the San Francisco 49ers?
If you don’t recall, when Bill Walsh took over as Head Coach and General Manager, the 49ers were rated as the worst team in the NFL.
Three years later they won the Super Bowl and continued to create the West Coast offense and a true dynasty and won many championships.

Amazing and valuable insights on coaching

I wasn't sure what to expect from this audiobook, I'm not an NFL fan. But what I can say as a soccer coach is it had as many coaching lessons and insights as Alex Ferguson's "Leading" book.

It is perhaps one of the most complete writings I have come across regarding the coach as a leader.

Every coach, in any sport, would benefit from the timeless wisdom of Bill Walsh.

This is a must read of life lessons. It was used in football, but easily transcends to anything.
