Possibly. It was a good survey of all aspects of Flyfishing, told with a welcome dose of humor
The author's clever style made technical material go down easy

No, there was too much to absorb to listen to it all at once
Very enjoyable. The perfect car companion as you make the drive out to go Flyfishing.
This is a book for new fly fishers, experienced fishers and anyone who wants to listen to a wonderful performance. Lots of humor and instruction from the author and a super performance by the narrator.
The humor and the stories about the author's experiences.
I'm going to look for more by this author and also this narrator.
Great book to listen to for the beginner as well as the pro. While some of the basic stuff may be repetitive, it is entertaining. I would have anyone interested in fly fishing listen to it or read it.
Sound basic information about fly fishing for trout.
This is an excellent book to indoctrinate the novice into the sport and art of fly fishing.
This is one of the best sporting books I have ever read. I love fishing and tried fly fishing but it takes too much patience. This book has very entertainingly brought me to appreciate the art or fly fishing. This sport has been around for hundreds of years and has a very loyal following. Read this book even if you, like me, have no intention of taking up the sport. You will come to understand why those that do enjoy it so much. You might even become a catch and release fly fisher.
this is a great book for those interested in getting into the art of fly fishing. very funny and entertaining. like most hobbies there are those that can take it way too seriously and I really enjoy how this book calls them out, at the end of the day it's your whole experience not how many fish you catch
Audible has helped me expand my appreciation for history, science and the arts. The Great Courses series are illuminating. More please!!
Terry Mort presents fly fishing in the macro and in the micro, referencing great thinkers in human history as well as the details necessary to consider before casting the first fly. I have read many audiobooks, both scholarly and of the pure entertainment variety. Mr Mort`s tome is one of my all time favorites.
There are too many great moments to list. I found pearls in every chapter. I listened to this book 3 times and feel that as a novice, I now have an understanding of the terminology and of the important concepts regarding fly fishing.
Thanks Michael Taylor for doing such a spectacular job reading this book with what I can only assume captures the emotion and engagement of the author for the subject of fly fishing. I don`t think that I could have listened to this book 3 times had it not been for Mr Taylor`s most excellent performance!!
Yes. I loved this book!!
If you have any interest in fishing, in the environment or in our fresh water resources, READ THIS BOOK!! Remember, fresh, clean water is a much more valuable resource than oil!! It will likely prove to be even more so over time. Trout need it. We need it.
