Lindsey is a small-town Minnesota girl at heart turned world-champion skier, but that didn't come without hard work. In Strong Is the New Beautiful, Lindsey lays out the never-before-seen training routines and her overall philosophy that have helped her become the best female skier in the world - tailored for women of all shapes and sizes. Exercise Diet Positivity
Anyone unsure about the mountain of exercise tips (eat more/less carbs/protein/fat/calories) this book sorts it out. I started exercising at the start of this year and I'm about 10 months in and everything I've learned so far, is said in this book. For me, I went the hard way about it and this book would have cut my time to 4 or 5 months to where I am today. It was great to hear what my self-thought and self-research is close to what Lindsey recommends. For anyone struggling to part with the couch, give this a listen/read. Hopefully it motivates you!
Not very interesting, helpful or inspiring. I probably should have rated it a 2 but I am feeling generous today. I guess if you are really new to working out this may be a bit helpful. Not being read by Lindsey is a bummer if you are a fan and just want to hear her. No idea why she would not read the book herself. She keeps referring to an enhanced version to find some workouts and stuff but never says how to find it.
Encouraging, Fitness, Health.
Just do it! (Oh wait, that one is taken.)
Whether you are already familiar with her accomplishments or you are interested in your own fitness, this was a great book. There were a couple parts that seemed repetitive, but so what? Her fitness, goal orientation and dedication to proper nutrition make this worth reading. Even though I've read other fitness related books, this one really stands out because of her personal story!
