This is a great audio. Not only does it give a lot of great tips for how to massage specific parts of the body using a variety of different massage specialties, but it also goes into depth on over 15 different types of massage styles so that you can decide which one would be best for you. I personally love the Shiatsu massage, but am definitely going to check out Myofascial release after listening to the chapter on that and all the benefits. Great for anyone who wants to know about all the massage styles out there and what their benefits are. Highly recommended!
Great for anyone who is considering massage therapy as a patient or practitioner. With 100 different types of massages, I can say I only knew of one but will be happy to research and try a few others. It’s important to note that there were certain massages that should be avoided if you are pregnant, have high blood pressure, have never received a massage, etc. The book does a pretty good job of going through pros and cons and what to expect as a result from each massage. Massages are not only great for your physical health but for psychological health as well.

There was no story. This was a nonfiction book geared toward those exploring the benefits and effects of massage. The author clearly lays out the methods of massage, benefits of the methods and drawbacks you might experience.
I am not really critiquing the narrator, his voice was neither here nor there. I found it easy to listen to him.

This audiobook is an incredibly thorough introduction and overview of some of the various forms of massage from around the world. Not only does it describe each type of massage in a clear and concise manner, it explains each style's origin, its purpose, as well as addresses who should avoid getting certain massages. Before listening, I had little to no knowledge about the differences between different styles of massage, other than price. Now I know when and why I should get a Swiss massage as opposed to shiatsu, and I know the benefits of deep tissue massage in contrast to sports massage. What's more, I can recommend certain massages to others, or even surprise my wife with the perfect gift!
Overall, I feel this was a very well done book, from narration to content covered. I would recommend it to anyone looking for more information about massage in general.

"Nice simple massaging tips"
I have been wanting to learn about massage for a long time and really enjoyed learning about all the different trigger and acupressure points within your body to aid relaxation and as a method of pain management. I personally get a lot of tension headaches and so I was particularly interested to learn the trigger points on my head and neck that I can massage to relieve that tension.
It’s also very helpful that it refers you to a number of youtube videos so that you can have a visual of the techniques and pressure points described so that you are not in danger of hurting yourself. This is an informative and enjoyable audio book.

This book describes different massage techniques from around the globe. A massage is a great way to relax your body, improve circulation, relieve from stress or heal injures. Swedish massage is one of my favourites and I enjoyed learning more about this type of massage. I have been using it for relaxation purposes but now I learnt about the other benefits such as the help it offers against insomnia, depression or anxiety.
I didn’t know that the origin of sports massage was Greece and I always thought it was more suitable for athletes but this book encouraged me to try it as well. It can also help factory workers who often have to use the same muscles when repeating the same motion. In general, it can be very helpful to anyone who uses a great deal of their muscles.
Pregnant women can benefit from Roman therapy massage but the choice of a therapist is very important and only specifically trained for pregnancy massage therapists are recommended.
It is finally interesting that other types of massage are also covered in this book such as erotic and tantric massage (tastefully).
