Publisher's summary

Brigid Donovan has found some of her Fae magic, but some is still missing. Her new boyfriend doesn't remember who she is, and the witch coven still wants to take everything from her.

Her call for help brought her human best friend, but she hasn't any magic—although she makes up for it with enthusiasm.

To get her stolen magic back, Brigid's going to have to master the magic she does have. Putting out a call to her Fae great-grandfather could be the best idea yet, or it could be the worst. The Fae aren't known for their compassion.

Oh, and side note, unicorns are real dicks.

Together with her protector Mr. Mittens, Megan, her bestie, and the local werewolf pack, can Brigid defeat the witches, save the boy, and finish the house?

It remains to be seen, but when the confrontation occurs, something awful goes wrong and the worst thing you can imagine occurs.

Exciting second in the series!

This is the second in the series and it only is getting better! We get to see how Brigid is moving along as the story continues. Her house, her friends, her familiar and of course the witches all make this an exciting sequel. We meet new paranormal creatures which thrilled me. I am enjoying this just as much as the first book.

The narrator is Valerie Giguere. She does such a good job with all the different characters that pop up. She definitely keeps me as enthralled as the storyline. I can not wait for the next in the series.

LOVE THIS!!!!

This is a fantastic series so far! It kind of gives me Kim Harrison, The Hollows series vibes for some reason. I mean, they are completely different. But something about it totally made me think of these books. And that is an Amazing series, so its completely a compliment! The narrator did a great job. There were a lot of characters, and she handled it like a pro. Book 2 was even better than the first. And I just started number 3! Can't wait to see what happens!! #Pinkflamingo #TheFlockVIPReviews

The exciting and addictive fantasy continues!

This might be the best paranormal women’s fiction series that I’ve ever read, and it’s perfectly narrated in every way. The narrator Veronica Giguere is so amazing at male voices that I could have sworn it was a duet narration. Ms. Giguere is a true expert in every way, with a pleasing voice and excellence in action scenes and in moments of vulnerability.

This second book in the series continues the storyline and ends with a cliffhanger. Thankfully Book 3 is getting released this week in audio, and I can’t wait to start listening. The plot format of the series is like urban fantasy but with the newly divorced 42-year-old Brigid figuring out her new magic. So far the steam level is very mild with just kissing.

Brigid is relatable and lovable, and so is her cool telepathic cat. Brigid’s wonderful best friend gets added to the cast as well. The setting in small-town Oregon is nicely atmospheric. I love the magic, the action, and the intriguing minor characters. The world-building is really good. I totally recommend this book to all fans of paranormal women’s fiction, paranormal cozy mysteries, and urban fantasy.

I requested and received a free audio copy via the publisher, and I voluntarily wrote this honest review. #TheFlockVIPReviewTeam #NorthernLakeAudio

Forget the Witches

Battered and heartsore after the witch attack, Brigid has lost a piece of her magic and Gabe. The arrival of Megan, her best friend couldn't come at a better time. Brigid needs help with her magic if she is to face the witches again, so she makes a magical call to her fae-lord great-grandfather. Not a fan of being summoned, he still sends his best Kelpie instructor to train her. Now with Megan, Mr. Mittens, a griffin, a teenage dragon, and the local construction crew werewolf pack, can Brigid defeat the evil witches, save Gabe, and get her magical creatures B&B off the ground?

Oh boy. This series is killing me. The magic and mythical creatures are wonderful. The introduction of the fae lord and kelpie magic teacher was good. The encounters with the evil unicorn and soul spider were great. I enjoy the house restoration and B&B plans. It loses momentum whenever the witches take center stage. As the main villain, this shouldn't be the case. It's odd since I love witches. But nothing is interesting about these and I don't understand why Brigid doesn't end them. If she can't ask her grandfather for help. Brigid irritated me with her lack of thought in this book. She goes from being capable until she encounters witches, then her brain turns off. Why didn't she call for the fae and kelpie with the communication device they gave her when she found herself at the witch's mercy (again)? Why would she consider giving her magic away to an evil witch for anything or anyone? Big picture, Brigid. There's also Gabe's character. This book is a textbook example of how to make a character meaningless. Amnesia and absence. Even living in the same house, he served no role. Their attraction must be nonexistent since they never spent any time together. Why would he be a bargaining chip? He didn't matter. I would enjoy this series so much more if it was about her learning her history and magic, turning the house into a mythical destination and refuge without the witches' interference. I look forward to book three and hope we can leave the witches behind.

Valerie Giguere is amazing. Voicing the entire cast of males, females, and magical creatures she has incredible versatility and range. Her voice adapts to every character giving them each a unique voice and personality.

Great Second Installment!

This is the second installment in the Splintered Magic Series, a Paranormal Women's Urban Fantasy Fiction Novel. The story continues where the first book left off. I loved to follow Brigid, Gabe, Megan, and Mr. Mittens in this entertaining installment. Brigid is smart, strong, and determined. Mr. Mittens, Brigid's familiar, is such a great character! Megan, her best friend, is kind, and supportive. The supporting characters are intriguing. The storyline is fast-paced, filled with action, humor, danger, and twists and turns. Veronica Giguere did a great job bringing this story to life. The story ends with a cliffhanger, and I am looking forward to listening to Splintered Fate, the next book in the series. #PFPAudio
