Publisher's summary

My name is Megan, and it’s been three months since I’ve found a dead body.

At first, the most recent death in our cozy little town had nothing to do with me. The police said the poor man had a heart attack and lost control of his car.

Spoiler alert: It wasn’t a heart attack. It was murder.

Why did it have to happen in front of my yarn store? And why do I keep discovering dead bodies like it’s a hobby? I’d ask a therapist, but it turns out it was the local therapist who wrapped his car around the lamp post in front of my store.

And now, someone is stalking me on my laptop, cell phone, and tablet.

Are they trying to use me to get away with murder? Or are they using technology to hunt their next victim?

The police aren’t convinced that my stalker and the therapist’s murder are related, but I know if I find the stalker, I’ll solve the murder.

With help from my friends, I’m determined to solve this. There’s no way I’m going to jail or to my grave before I finish knitting this cashmere cardigan. And the first time I wear it won’t be to my own funeral.

If you like your cozy mysteries with a bit of humor, small-town Canadian life, a hint of romance, a close circle of quirky and lovable characters that you wish you knew in real life, dogs, cats, and free knitting patterns, there's something in this series for you.

Clean listen. No graphic violence, sex, or strong language.

Each book in the Knitorious Murder Mystery series is a stand-alone mystery that is solved by the end of the book. The books can be listened to in any order; however, the characters' lives and relationships evolve and change over time.

Allergies can lead to death

I listened to this. It is set in Harmony Lake, Canada. The murder and investigation were interesting with plenty of twists and turns. We deal with topics such as client confidentiality, inappropriate relationships in the medical field, blackmail, and big box take overs of small towns.

Megan meets Jesse, Adam’s girlfriend on a double date with Eric. On the way to the car, Jesse & Megan find a car wrecked near Knitorious. The driver is dead. The investigation begins as they need to find out if it was natural causes or murder.

Plenty of subplots and the resolution let’s one of the suspects come out smelling like a rose.

I like how the relationships in this small town are progressing and I enjoyed learning more about allergies leading to anaphylactic shock.

This cozy has a sense of being more mature than some of the others.

Getting better and better

The story is told in a cozy friendly voice, with twists you don’t see coming and wonderful( love ‘em!) puns throughout. The characters grow and continue to feel like old friends. The performance -just like the book- is getting better and better. Her “Megan” is exactly as I hear it in my head and the reoccurring characters are feeling like “old friends”. That said, “Eric” felt a bit slow, but is becoming more relaxed. Can’t say if that is performer or author, but it feels as if that was planned and I like it!

This doesn’t feel like a serious - intense kinda mystery. More like a small town storytelling with warmth and humor. A very enjoyable listen.

Another great Knitorious mystery

I’m really enjoying listening to this series! Son of a Stitch is well-written, engaging cozy mystery that works well as a stand-alone, but I’d recommend starting with book one because of the great character development. I enjoyed knitting while listening and trying to figure out who the murderer was. I can’t wait to listen to the next book. I’m glad there are a lot of books in this series. Recommended!

son of a stitch

I enjoyed the story. In fact, I have read all of the preceding books. I struggle a bit with the narration. The female voices didn't bother me, but whenever they did the "Eric "voice, I felt it to be very cringe worthy. I would like to note that I do listen to my books at a higher speed.. Perhaps it would be less cringe worthy if I was listening at normal speed instead of 1.3

Son of a Stitch

This series is so much fun! A local therapist is found dead. Could he have been murdered? It seems like there are a lot of local people involved in the circumstances surrounding his death. And there’s a lot going on close to home involving Megan’s boyfriend and her soon to be ex husband. Megan and the other characters are enjoyable. There were a lot of laugh out loud moments throughout the story. I listened to the audiobook and the narration was easy to listen to and the characters were represented well.

Good cozy mystery

Both the author Reagan Davis and narrator Zim Avaltrades are new to me. This is a cozy mystery and one that I found entertaining. I enjoyed the story and as time permits I will be looking at the other books in the series.
This was a book filled with enough secrets and clues to keep you guessing until the end.
There were twists, turns and surprises in Son Of A Stitch as Megan, her boyfriend and other friends follow the clues and I have to say that I was taken by surprise.
I did have trouble relating to the male voices that the narrator used but her female voices were fine and overall I just pushed through it. I really liked the characters and it was good to see that the characters were more mature.

Who murdered the Doctor!

Son of a Stitch is Book 5 in A Knitorious Murder Mystery by Reagan Davis. This wonderful cozy has great writing with fabulous characters. When Megan finds the body of a doctor, she is emerged in the investigation. I felt that Zim Avaltades gave an outstanding performance as the narrator. Since I don't want to spoil the audio book, I will only say that the book is fast paced with twist and turns and an exciting ending. I feel that this is a really enjoyable audio book and series.
