Loved it

I have only read a couple of books by Claudia Burgoa. Each book has been well written with characters that I could easily relate to and this book was no exception. I was hooked from the first to the last chapter.

Teddy Hamilton and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker did a fabulous job with their narration. Their voices are easy to listen to and brought the story to life for me. They did justice to the characters that Ms.Burgoa wove.

Claire is feisty, determined, strong and has no problem standing up for herself or those she believes in. Miller is definitely an alpha male who is equally as strong and arrogant at times.

Something Like Hate is spicy, humorous, a little angsty and at times frustrating. Feelings will be hurt and a betrayal will leave you reeling. Will the sacrifices made be worth it? Or can the trust which was broken be re built?

I really loved Miller and Claire, both separately and together, they really do make a great couple. The question is will they get their happily ever after?

So much heart!

Oh my word… talk about feels. Teddy Hamilton and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker had me hooked on this book with their performance. I felt EVERYTHING! The author wrote the words but these narrators performed it with so much heart. I couldn’t get enough of them as Claire and Miller!! This is absolutely a wonderful audiobook!

Hilarious, Heartfelt, and Steamy Romance!

I fell in Love with Miller and Claire when they first appeared in the vacation anthology collection, Spring Fling. I am so, so happy that Burgoa gave us more of their fun, and steamy, forbidden/second chance romance!
Claire Solis is hardworking and extremely talented at creating social media campaigns. She is about to embark on a vacation with her friends when she happens to run into the very demanding and sexy CEO of her company on her flight. Miller is on his way to his sisters wedding at the same tropical location. He is desperate to convince the very beautiful Claire to help him avoid his mothers matchmaking. Claire is determined to enjoy her vacation. When Claire gives in to help Miller for the weekend, she never expected to have fun with the surprisingly kind, loving, and swoony man who put her before everything. Miller knew Claire was smart, but he was seduced by how in tune and protective she was with him. When they agree to a casual, no strings weekend, neither wanted it to end. This is a wonderful, witty, and steamy story was made even better by the wonderfully talented narrators, Teddy Hamilton, and Stephanie Németh-Parker. Their easy delivery and inflections make me feel like I am right there with them, getting totally lost in the realism of their storytelling. They really brought out the push/pull between both Miller and Claire, and allowed us to experience their strengths and vulnerabilities, and their sexual tension was palpable! I loved everything about this heartfelt, charming and sexy romance!

Wonderful story with great narration

Where do I start and can I do this book justice!!!! Well I guess I start with Something Like Hate captivated me from the first page to the last line it was a book I couldn’t put down. This book has all the feels you want it a great read, it’s funny, it’s sad, it will tug on your heartstrings, it has plenty of witty banter, a fair bit of saucy banter and Miller and Claire’s story will certainly keep you turning the pages. This book touched me on so many different levels, I loved Miller and Claire, I loved their story and I loved how this author told their story.
Teddy Hamilton and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker did a wonderful job bringing this book to life. They were spot on with the banter and they also pulled on my heartstrings. They are very east to listen to and the story flowed really well.
This a beautifully written story that I highly recommend so do yourself a favour and join Miller and Claire’s journey it’s a ride you don’t want to miss!!

A Fine Line Between Love and Hate

I had read the ebook awhile ago and had forgotten how much Miller was a jerk to Claire. I applauded her for standing up for herself and telling him she deserved better. He did redeem himself by eating crow to get her back. I lived hearing the characters brought to life by Teddy Hamilton and Stephanie Nemeth-Parker. I have not listened to these narrators before. They are paired well and well suited to this book. I have to say Teddy's voice is sexy. I could listen to him all day lol!

Freedom to choose

Loved the narration, Teddy and Stephanie brought the characters to life. Dual narration is a favorite of mine. Falling in love too quickly, followed by poor communication seemed to be the end of the story, but it was just the beginning. One of the best parts of Something Like Hate is how long the main characters were given to find their way to their happy ever after.

Amazing!

The combination of the story and the narrators really makes this story amazing! Claire and Miller are fire together and the narrators really did them justice by bringing them to life. There are several tropes at play here that balance out the story with the sweet, sexy, and funny.

Loved It

This was such a great story. I loved the storyline and how it evolved. The characters weren't the usual hero and heroine in how the story went on. The time lapse was such a great touch.

Funny n easy listen

This is 1 of my favorite “fake girlfriend” listen.. I’m so glad I picked it n made me laugh after listening to a crazy suspense romance !!!! Teddy had another awesome performance ☺️

Brilliant Story, Characters & Narration🎧

Wow, nothing but love for this romantic comedy, I am not sure how Claudia Burgoa does it, but I always have a new favorite character or two every time I finish one of her books. This enemies-to-lover romcom has the perfect balance of drama, humor, heartfelt emotions and romance, and is captivating from start to end. The characters are relatable, easy to connect with and care about, easy to fall in love with too. Miller is busy running his company, his meddlesome mother wants him to settle down and keeps trying to set him up with dates. His sister’s wedding approaching and in attempts to keep her off of his back, he blurts out that he has a girlfriend, which backfires on him because now his mother wants him to bring her to the wedding, a destination wedding in Cancun. After making some calls, he gets someone to act as his fake girlfriend for some vacation time in Cancun, except he gets stood up and then he sees her, Claire, and comes up with another plan. Claire was going on a much needed vacation with friends, she almost did not make because her mother kept her on the phone and then her job needed updates and files, but she gets to the airport in time. And it turned out to be her lucky day, she gets upgraded to first class, but her ran out, what was supposed to be a vacant seat next to her turns to be her boss’ boss’ seat and she wants nothing to do with him or work. But he has other plans and a proposition for her, she give him the weekend for another vacation in the future, since she has the rest of the week to spend with her friends, she takes him up on his offer. Now they need to pull it off convincingly to his family, which they have no problem doing because the chemistry between them is electric. Miller met his match in Claire, and the time they spent together was magical, until it all went wrong, promises were made and broken and he let work get in the way which let to life getting in the way. There is never a dull moment in this wonderfully written and plotted story, the witty dialogue is brilliant and the characters are amazing, both the lead and secondary characters. It all went all went wrong for Claire and Miller the first time, he screwed up and knows it, will he get a second chance with he or will his forever love turn into a forever rivalry, Miller has his work cut out for him, I will only say, wow and superbly done Claudia Burgoa!! Thank you for another amazing story and emotional rollercoaster ride.

Their portrayal of the characters was spot-on, I love how they took each role and owned it, sounding believable and just as I picture the characters to sound. They set the perfect tone for the story, handled the witty dialogue with ease and landed the humor effortlessly. You could hear how much heart they put into their work as they capture all the character’s emotions and project them in their performance. These versatile voice artists are entertaining storytellers and a pleasure to listen to. Thank you for another fabulous listen.
