More than an average financial guide

This book stands out for me due to several reasons: it explains all matters finance in a simple and easy to relate way. It does not overwhelm you with complicated strategies, but rather empower you with simple steps and solutions everyone should be reminded of, now and then. Such important topics as credit, insurance, emergency funds and much more are covered.
I especially like the "Navigating the World of Cars and Homes" chapter. It's a complex subject teens and young adults tend to overlook and so do their parents in the subject of financial literacy.
It's a great resource of information and I highly recommend this book.

Very good informations

Though I've read a ton of articles and seen a ton of books on the subject lately, I must admit that the tone of this book drew me in. It provides helpful personal financial advice for the teenage to young adult transition and speaks to young adults on their own terms.
It all makes sense right away because the author uses their language while speaking to the young adult reader. Excellent work!

Listen to this with my Teens!

I have been playing this on the car ride to and from school with my 2 teens. I think it is great, and it even has started a few conversations with my kids! It teaches valuable lessons of money skills and strategies, and my kids seem a lot more receptive to hearing these strategies from someone other than myself. The narrator does a great job, and I love that the author included fun things like "side hustles", my son especially took an interest in that. Great audiobook!

Much Needed!

I wish I had this as a teen and/or young adult. Money, finances, saving, and spending are simply one of the most important concepts for adults and the least talked about in school! Acevedo has cultivated a wonder guide that is both understandable for teens and young adults, and holds so much value for your teens future of money. A must read!

This book is a golden nugget that will help young people build a solid foundation for themselves and build financial habits that will benefit them for the rest of their lives. I am eager to share the tips with my children even before they are teenagers. I love how the book emphasizes the importance of financial literacy and provides all the tools teens need to get started with a simple budget. This book is definitely a great addition to middle school and high school libraries. It really fills a gap that many teens encounter when they start college. Following the advice in this book will definitely make independence a smoother ride.

This Needs to be Taught in Schools

I have to say..where was this when I was growing up!?! I could have avoided the mistakes I made if I had this book. Thankfully, I’ve moved past this and I'm in a much better place but I still would have appreciated not having to learn the hard way. Enough about me though. Smart Money is an essential guide for teens to master their finances. It breaks down complex concepts into understandable, actionable steps. The focus on budgeting, smart spending, and future planning is incredibly valuable. It's not just informative, but also motivating, showing how financial savvy can open doors to future dreams. A great resource for any young person ready to take control of their financial destiny. To be honest, I know some adults who could listen to this as well. Going to be gifting this to my teacher friends so they can pass it on to their students.

An ideal gift for teens and young adults

Oh how I wish I had access to this information all those years ago! It is indeed a shame that the contents of this audiobook is not routinely taught in school, and unfortunately most parents are not aware of it, thus are unable to empower their kids in financial matters.

Having read and shared this audiobook, I am convinced that this audiobook is one of the best gifts you could give your teen or young adult. It presents exhaustive information in an accessible manner, so that teenagers and indeed anyone interested in planning for their future, can understand and follow. It provides realistic signposts and indept guidance on how to start with small amounts of money and build a solid financial future. Along the way we learned about budgeting, the power of compounding, stocks and bonds, retirement planniong, home and life insurance, and a range of investment types. There is so much in this book; it really is a gem.
