Publisher's summary

When the reclusive mathematician Jeremy Grady goes missing, it's up to his estranged brother Jack to find out why. His search leads him on a far-flung journey - from Brazil, India, Peru, and beyond - as he unravels the mystery that links the Seven Wonders of the World, and discovers that Jeremy may have hit upon something that's been concealed for centuries. With the help of scientist Sloane Costa, they discover a conspiracy to hide a road map to the Garden of Eden - and the truth behind a mythological ancient culture.

With a heart-pounding pace and panoramic backdrops, Seven Wonders is an electrifying listen, and will be the first in a trilogy.

Yet another archelogist tramping around the world!

Would you try another book from Ben Mezrich and/or Luke Daniels?

Probably. Daniels is a consumate performer, and does alot with the material here, but this story was somewhat lame ( as in, simplistic )

If you’ve listened to books by Ben Mezrich before, how does this one compare?

My first.

Which scene was your favorite?

The conclusion in ( no spoiler here ) the garden rocked.

Could you see Seven Wonders being made into a movie or a TV series? Who should the stars be?

I hope not.

Any additional comments?

This offering is mild entertainment. Daniels does his usual fine work with rather simple material ( the concept is cool, the execution, not so much.)

Recommended mildly.

Robert Langdon???

Indiana Jones meets Robert Langdon to get to Jurassic Park.
I liked Rigged and Ugly Americans a lot better.

Scratches and Indiana Jones itch!

A professor of ancient cultures whom prefers field work? An ultra rich woman focused on world domination at any cost? The dulcet tones of Luke Daniels, the audio equivalet of a young Harrison Ford?

Yes, please! And more while you're asking!

Average

Too slow. Compared to his other works, this is far below his standard.
I wouldn't recommend it. Average. Simple. Basic.

He should stick to Non-fiction

Too many tropes. Very predictable.
Why does a review need a full fifteen words? Huh.
