Not what was advertised, but somehow even better.

This is a rather puzzling case for a book, because it is blatantly falsely advertised. The blurb sells a story about a brilliant scientist tasked with diving into the mind of a serial killer and the horrors and dangers that await her there. And to be fair that is how it starts out as we are introduced to our protagonist, the technology she will be using and our resident serial killer. But there is a strange twist that turns the story into something completely different.

Our supposed serial killer is actually an innocent woman. Someone inside the investigation is trying to frame her, and our intrepid scientist must find out who.

Once you except the twist, it becomes an interesting Sci fi crime story. The ending of the story says that our intrepid scientist will return, and I for one cannot wait for the next installment.
