Publisher's summary

Senlin Ascends: Booktrack Edition adds an immersive musical soundtrack to your audiobook listening experience!*

The Tower of Babel is the greatest marvel in the world. Immense as a mountain, the ancient Tower holds unnumbered ringdoms, warring and peaceful, stacked one on the other like the layers of a cake. It is a world of geniuses and tyrants, of luxury and menace, of unusual animals and mysterious machines.

Soon after arriving for his honeymoon at the Tower, the mild-mannered headmaster of a small village school, Thomas Senlin, gets separated from his wife, Marya, in the overwhelming swarm of tourists, residents, and miscreants.

Senlin is determined to find Marya, but to do so he'll have to navigate madhouses, ballrooms, and burlesque theaters. He must survive betrayal, assassins, and the illusions of the Tower. But if he hopes to find his wife, he will have to do more than just endure.

This quiet man of letters must become a man of action.

*Booktrack is an immersive format that pairs traditional audiobook narration to complementary music. The tempo and rhythm of the score are in perfect harmony with the action and characters throughout the audiobook. Gently playing in the background, the music never overpowers or distracts from the narration, so listeners can enjoy every minute. When you purchase this Booktrack edition, you receive the exact narration as the traditional audiobook available, with the addition of music throughout.

Amazing!

I haven’t read or listened to any books in a long time. I chose this off of a recommendation, and I am so glad that I did. The story is captivating, and the narrator enhances the experience. The book track edition was also amazingly immersive. I wish every audiobook from this series had a book track edition.

So Entertaining

I loved this book. A great imaginative adventure. The booktrack enhances the experience. It is subtle and not annoying or distracting. I’m moving on to the rest of the series. My only regret is that the rest of the books do not have booktrack. Highly recommend! This was a fun listen.

It was entertaining

I had no clue of what this book would be like when I started listening, but I was captivated from the beginning. The story concept was one that I hadn't heard of before, and I had no clue what was coming around the corners. Towards the mid/late book the story lost me a little and I felt myself not as interested as I was in the beginning. The ending helped tie things together and rounded out the book well. Overall it was a good and entertaining book.
